@Letty,
I am pretty sure Big Joe Turner had the original Shake Rattle and Roll, but could be wrong.
Al Jolson's Sonny Boy is another great recording by a master.
Oh My Papa is the first song I recall hearing from Eddie. I don't read the negative comments about him.
Here now is a song dedicated to the young ladies in and out of jail in the news lately.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, the feedback that you give us here on the talk portion of WA2K radio is always welcome. It's quite difficult for people continually in the spotlight to maintain the expectations of society.

Your Gatlin Brothers' Broken Lady was a great contribution. Thanks, Texas.

And to the men who have been "in", Johnny and The Highwaymen.

I love the Johnny Cash music, letty. Johnny was one man who transended all his flaws. I admired him tremendously.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I love "the silver fox". You're right about the cash man. Ray Charles had some problems as well. The Most Beautiful Girl is one of my favorites. Remember when I used to get him confused with Charlie Pride?

Here's a fox of another color.

Ozzy Osbourne is performing in Israel today, a first in his concert career.

Osbourne told the Associated Press that alcohol is what kept him away from Israel all these years.

"I guess I was drunk for so many years," Osbourne said.

The 61-year-old singer struck fame as the former front man for Black Sabbath, but left in the 1970s for a solo career, the AP reports. He will perform Tuesday along with Soulfly and Korn as part of the Ozzfest tour.

When asked if politics forced him to keep his distance, Osbourne told the AP:

"I try to stay away from politics. They don't understand me and I don't understand them."

Sorry, Ozzy. Mama's can't always solve a boy's problem.

@edgarblythe,
Dear Buddy, edgar. Brown Eyed Handsome Man was one that I have never heard. Thanks for the observations and for the introduction to new things.

"..the eyes are the windows of the soul.."

Wonderful eyes by a handsome brown-eyed man.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, loved that one by Pat Boone and the visuals were fantastic. If Dreams Come True was a new one to me just as Mario was new to you.

Wow! The Roaring Twenties. Gloria Stuart was something else, Texas. Hey, she did a lot in her life and lived to be a hundred?

"What doesn't kill us makes us stronger." -Friedrich Nietzsche

I interpret that to mean that our immune system becomes stronger with a little bit of poison. Folks in today's world put too much medicine in their bodies. That's my op ed for the evening.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with this great jazz group.

@Barry The Mod,
Well, I caught our Brit before he climbed the apples. Smile

Thanks for that great song by Lani Hall. Never Say Never Again by her was a wonderful reminder of James Bond, and I had no idea she was married to Herb Alpert who is one of my all time favorites. Loved that trumpet, buddy.

Well, well. It seems that Phil Collins is making the charts in your part of the world. Here are two songs by him. First, an oldie.

Now, his latest.

@Letty,
Good morning. I am contemplating putting on a long sleeve shirt to go to work. It's in the 50s out there. To the youngsters, that may not seem cold, but I likes my arms to be warm.
Dream by the Pied Pipers is one I listened to very frequently on the local radio, until the last station doing pop music went defunct. Very nice song.
I know the first Phil Song, but did not connect it with the title before.
Going Back is new to me.

Waves to our Brit as he climbs the apples. Loved that one by Phil. Didn't know it, but he is still great, no?

edgar, It's a mite cooler here but not much. I wear long sleeve attire in all kinds of weather.

There's a large harvest moon in my sky this morning. Just looked out my window at it with a slight ring and a shadow behind it. I saw a bit of sheet lightning so I decided to stay in our wee studio.

Thanks for the comments, Texas.

Here's liza with a "z" to ask it a favor.

Hey, mooseman. Loved that one by the Crystalairs. Used to love Chinese restaurants when I was a kid. Even learned to use chopsticks, and I always believed what the fortune cookie said.

Believed Confucius as well.
