@Letty,
I would have gladly turned back the hands of time in days past, but no more. My life is better now than it was then.

My daughter went to a Green Day concert and was up on the stage with them. I only found out today that they are the ones that do this great song.

Good morning, WA2K folks.

Hey, Brit. Loved that Jewish contribution and the bread looks yummy. Went out to eat last evening and had hot pumpernickel bread. It was delicious.

edgar, Thanks again for all your generous comments on our musical contributions. Texas Howl was delightful; Lover's question by Clyde McPhatter was one I really enjoyed, and Green Day was a new one to me. Thanks for the introduction.

Today is Paul Williams's birthday, so here is something by that fantastic song writer and performer.

And, a Gregorian Chant for an early Sunday morning.

@Izzie,
Hey, Miss Pretty in Pink. Love The Eternal Flame by the Bangles. The title of their song reminds me of this eternal flame. President Kennedy's resting place and also one in France at the tomb of the unknown soldier.

So, for those in peril on the sea.

Don't know Volleyball Jones' (love their name; reminds me of Basketball Jones:)) Waiting in the Weeds, but it was quite enjoyable.

and another reminder of "bangles"

@Letty,
Barry, I posted my reply twice. The second time I left out my thanks to you for birthday wishes. I truly appreciate it.

Paul Williams is a great artist and song writer. Anybody recall that, allegedly, the song "Short People" was inspired by him?

Ah. A Gregorian Chant with a beat. Neat.

I'm a Navy him, letty.
I like the Baubles and Beads song letty. The one who put that one together did a lot of work to get it right.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, Thanks for your comments on what we play here.

Loved The Supremes with Diana Ross doing Someday we'll be together. Don't know the Chi Lites, but enjoyed "Oh Girl".

Didn't know that Paul did "Short People" but I do know that he was short. Who cares, right? Love your pun on "the navy him" made me smile, Texas.

We had a thunder boomer early this morning, and when I looked out my window, I saw the most gorgeous rainbow over the Intracostal waterway that I have ever seen. Alas, The Four Freshmen are always chasing them, as are many of us.

@edgarblythe,
My word, edgar. I know that song. Once again you sent me to the archives.

Stanley Augustus Holloway, OBE (1 October 1890 – 30 January 1982) was a celebrated English stage and film actor, comedian and singer. He was famous for his comic and character roles on stage and screen, especially that of Alfred P Doolittle in My Fair Lady. He was also renowned for his recordings of comic monologues and songs, which spanned his seventy-year career.

Thanks for the observation about the Four Freshmen. They are wonderful.

Here's the classic that inspired I'm Always Chasing Rainbows.

@edgarblythe,
Funny, edgar. Didn't know those cartoon characters did that one. Yep, Chopin is always worth a listen.

Didn't know Mr. Spaceman by the Byrds, but I really like them.

Here's a funny space montage, y'all.
