@edgarblythe,
edgar, that song was wonderful. Never heard Demis Roussos, but My Friend the Wind was mesmerizing. I had to search him out and found that he was Greek/Egyptian. Loved the visuals as well, Texas. Thanks!

Another wind then.

That's a good version of the song, letty. I recognized Harve Presnell's voice right away.

@edgarblythe,
I've always like Judy Collins, edgar, especially her Both Sides Now. Thanks for Golden Apples of the Sun.

Our brief poem for today.

I will find out where she has gone,
And kiss her lips and take her hands.
And pluck till time and times are done
The silver apples of the moon,
The golden apples of the sun.
William Butler Yeats

Now Glen Campbell and friend, folks.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I love My Buddy. Connie and Bobby did a great job with it. At first I thought that song had to do with the "buddy system" of two soldiers looking out for each other in the fox holes.

Thanks again for your comment, Texas.

Going to say goodnight a little early this evening as it has been an arduous day for you PD.

First an oldie.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F238KHpgDBM&feature=related

and the lyrics.

Jole Blon, you're my flower
You're my darling, you're my sunshine
I love you, I adore you
I promise to be true

Over here in the shadows
I will be waiting, I will
When I hear you're voice I rejoice
I save my love for you

Sha la la, sha la la
Sha la la, sha la la
Sha la la, sha la la
Sha la la, sha la la

Jole Blon, you're an angel
Can I tell you how I love you?
In the spring I swear we will be married
I'm waiting still for you

When your hair turns to silver
I will still call you my flower
Jole Blon I'll still love you
I'll save my love for you

Sha la la, sha la la
Sha la la, sha la la
Sha la la, sha la la
Sha la la, sha la la

We will go away from this city
We will go back girl, to our home
I swear some day I will take you
'Cause so far away we have roamed

And the bells they will ring
From the mountain to the valley
On the banks of the river
There you will be my bride

Now, one of my favorites Dancing in the Moonlight.

I am almost certain that Bobby Darin/Connie Francis 'duet' was actually two separate performances blended together. For one reason: I have had a record of Bobby singing My Buddy for many years, and it sounds 100% like this one.

Only Jools Holland would do that! Taken from one of his New Years Eve specials....

Good morning good peeples. Hopefully today will not be a repeat of yesterday. The swimming pool developed a leak that flooded the carpet inside the office, among other things.

Good moring, America and WA2K.

edgar, loved your goodnight song by Don Gibson. I Can't Stop Lovin' You was marvelous. Hurry back, Texas, and hope the pool stays as sound at the dikes in Holland. Smile

Brit, You're always doing the apple pears stairs bit before I awaken.

Thanks for the photo of Prince Harry and Status Quo's song You're in the Army Now. Have to admire the kid, London.

Ah, how great to have a song sent to me here in our wee studio. Loved Frankie Vaughn's Wonderful Things. Breath taking visuals and sooooo nice to wake up to.

The three drummers with Jools playing Honey Dripper was fantastic,

Thanks for all three songs. You and edgar hurry back.

Today is Cannonball Adderly's birthday, so here is one by him.

Happy Birthday, Cannonball.
You too, Sha Na Na. I have always enjoyed Sha N N, but used to get annoyed that some people would credit them with original songs. Almost exclusively, they just covered other artists' songs. And that was great, because it helped to keep the music alive.

Thanks again for your comments and info, edgar.

I know that song, Ruby, but don't know Adam Wade. He did a great job, Texas.

How about a little fun with Ertha Kitt, y'all. From Ruby to gold. Smile

Your picture is a red x, letty.
Adam Wade, when he first came on the scene, sounded amazingly like Johnny Mathis. His voice has changed some over the years.
Eartha - fantastic performer. Good song, too.
For the fun of it, a tribute to Martin and Lewis
