@edgarblythe,
Never heard that one by Ricky, edgar. What a fabulous voice that kid had. Hate losing him as well. Young World is good.

Here's miss Peggy Lee to tell us more.

Notice how she changes key at the end.

Peggy - Nice and smooth. I like almost all of her songs. Well, here's Johnny Burnette to sing about the Big Big World

@edgarblythe,
edgar, After having read about Johnny Burnette (you introduced me to him) I find that song rather sad. Thanks anyway, Texas.

Got a message from the kids in the Florida Panhandle, about how things might be in the furture world, and it reminded me of this one.

Don't ask how I know that one, 'cause I don't know

@Letty,
I remember that song, letty. It once was quite popular.

I spent several years trying to locate this particular recording by Johnny Mathis. I had the album, "Heavenly" which featured it, but lost the record. I finally found a replacement at Half Price Books.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! I had no idea that Johnny Mathis did that song from The King and I, edgar. He did a fantastic job, too. Thanks for playing it, 'cause it reminds me of another oldie by Marty Robbins. I think this was from a movie, but I can't recall which one.

I love that song, edgar. Had no idea that Harry did it. Thanks for the memory, buddy.

Time for me to say goodnight, and here's a tribute to Mario Lanza.

I wanted to hear Lena sing Silent Spring. The only way it is available is part of a set. But I like the other music too.

Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, thanks again for your comments on what we play here. Loved that one by Lena Horne. Thanks, Texas.

Dys, Carlos Santana is one of my all time favorites. Thanks, cowboy.

Hey Brit, had to check out Ricky's twins. That is news to me, buddy.

Love and Affection was awesome, buddy. Also enjoyed Santana and Clapton's Jingo. Autumn Leaves is one of my favorites, too.

A couple of songs for the early morning here.

First, one by Harry Nilsson.

I don't know many songs by Nilsson. That one is pretty good.
Also did not know Diamonds Made From Rain.

@edgarblythe,
Welcome back, edgar. Love Laura's version of Stoned Cold Picnic. Smile I knew it, but heard it by Fifth Dimension.

Hmm, y'all, thought that Igor might have muffled out signal, so this one I got from the Mooseman.

Mel Brooks' stuff is so great.

Here's another "stoned" guy, but it has been no picnic for him.

@Letty,
Laura Nyro wrote many hit songs, but other artists got the glory off of them.

I recall that eyegore sequence. Funny film.

I always have to look up George Michael. Can't seem to remember him, long term. That is a good performance.

Ricky Van Shelton is a good artist. Don't always like his choice of songs. Anyways - - -

@edgarblythe,
edgar, thanks again for your comments. George Michael has been arrested several times, and the last time he was found incapacitated as a result of cannabis and prescription drugs.

You're right, Texas, Ricky Van Shelton is a good vocalist, and his song reminded me of this one
