@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for the comments, edgar, and Big Joe Turner's Chains of Love was great.

My daughter went to see Paul McCartney in concert in Statesville, North Carolina last evening, and although this is not it, it was magical to her.

@edgarblythe,
Fantastic, edgar. My word The Fab Four are all dressed up and lookin' good. Never heard that one by them, but I loved Your Mother Should Know. Thanks, Texas.

Remember when I did the trailer for The Jungle Book?

Here's another about the life of Bruce Lee by the same actor. If we can believe what we see and hear, Bruce Lee was assassinated. What do you think, folks?

Not the first time I heard he was assassinated. Don't have an opinion, since I never really followed it that closely.

Here is the legendary Ray Price.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! I had no idea that Ray Price did those big band songs, edgar. What a talent. Especially liked You're Nobody Til Somebody Loves You. Only heard that by Old Blue Eyes. It is a mini philosophy, buddy.

Here are two songs, and I love the country classics, and stunned that Edith Piaf did The Three Bells. Remember that?

First, the classics.

Now "The Little Sparrow"

@edgarblythe,
Oh, my gawd, edgar. Jean Shepherd. "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out". Had no idea that he did funny stuff like that in radio land. Thanks for the laugh, Texas.

Well, Today is Sigmund Romberg's birthday, and here is one that made me laugh. Nelson Eddy sings Stout Hearted Men with hilarious visuals. Some funny and some quite true.

I always mix up Don Shirley's Trio with the Ralph Sharon Trio, which backs Tony Bennett quite often.

Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, love The Navajo Trail. I had forgotten about Billy Williams. Supposed to be 95 degrees here today.

Afternoon, Brit. That song and photo was a jest because I saw Verb say that she had procrastinated about the more upscale lodging and had to book a room for you at another.

Don't know one single song that you played, but I love Samba Triste by Baden Powell.

Crayon Angels by Judee and LuLu Reed's What Makes you so Cold were also great ones.

Two songs for this morning. First, My Heart Belongs to Daddy. I realize that Mary Martin sang this one, but couldn't find a proper video by her.

Anything that Cole Porter composed was fantastic.

This version by Julie Andrews

Now, a tribute to Paul Anka whose birthday is today.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmbMuauXcdY&feature=related

Hurry back, edgar.

Julie does it good. Happy bday to Paul Anka. I used to collect his 45s back in the early 60s.

@edgarblythe,
Good to see you back, Texas, and although I don't know Matumbi, they were great. Thanks again for the comments.

Two songs for the afternoon. First, a tribute to Diego Rivera, a marvelous Mexican muralist.

Then, a funny one by Kate Bush, whose birthday is today.

Diego:

Now Kate who dispells the fears of Wuthering Heights. Smile
