@edgarblythe,
One to match yours, edgar, and one to match the cowboy's

My word, y'all, A Place in the Sun and An American Tragedy were one and the same. I only remember the ending, however.

Saying goodnight with a Dream Spiral.

Often words aren't needed,
What we think is what we are

When I look at the ocean beyond,
I hear a song that mimics a star

Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

Ah, Sweet Baby James. Love that one by Mr. Taylor.

laughoutlood, welcome to our radio. Wichita Lineman is one of my favorites by Glen. I was delighted when I learned that the sound of the wires was created by flutes.

Words by The BeeGees is a great one.

I Want to Hold Your Hand by the Fab Four is one of my favorites. Don't know that lady, however.

Saying good morning with Mario Lanza.

and the lyrics in English.

Granada, I'm falling under your spell,
And if you could speak, what a fascinating tale you would tell.
Of an age the world has long forgotten,
Of an age that weaves a silent magic in Granada today.

The dawn in the sky greets the day with a sigh for Granada.
For she can remember the splendor that once was Granada.

It still can be found in the hills all around as I wander along,
Entranced by the beauty before me,
Entranced by a land full of flowers and song
.
When day is done and the sun touch the sea in Granada,
I envy the blush of the snow-clad Tierra Novada,
Soon it will welcome the stars
While a thousand guitars play a soft Carbinera.
Then moonlit Granada will live again,
The glory of yesterday, romantic and gay.

That's the best that I can do, folks. Smile

@Francis,
absolutely fabulous, Francis. I adore Spanish/Portuguese music. Don't know Vinicius de Moraes, but the title of his song appears to mean good fortune. Thank you, as I listened twice. I love his appellation "the little poet."

Here's a birthday boy to sing for us, y'all

Brian May of the well know group Queen.

Well, I have at least sampled the music everyone has played. All good ones. I haven't the energy to comment on each one.

@edgarblythe,
Not necessary, Texas. I'll keep things rolling here on WA2K.

I had no idea that Mario sang A Pretty Girl. Thanks for that.

Well, it's Monday and I guess many of our participants are engaged in hard work. So this one is for all you folks who are hot and tired.

Nat and Cannonball as done by a new jazz group.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, Jerry Lee and his Workin' Man's Blues. Thanks, Texas.

Today is Vikki Carr's birthday and boy can she sing. Bud always liked "With Pen in Hand" by her.

Here's Burt and Vikki talkin' about the Look of Love.

How about a look and a listen, folks.

Today is Degas' birthday so let's do a little music and art appreciation. One Russian and one French.

@edgarblythe,
Dear Hank, His Mansion on the Hill typifies how lonely people can be when they lack nothing. Thanks for that one, edgar.

From a mansion on the hill to a simple cabin on the hill.
