@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comments, edgar.

Wow! I don't know Beck, but that Ship in a Bottle was different. I liked it, Texas, because it was different.

Guess what I'm going to play, y'all.

Thinking of you Santa Tomas e Lucas.

Time in a Bottle is a song I associate with brother Sam, from way back in the 70s. It is a wonderful work, one of Jim's best.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, how I like that song, edgar. Dear George. We miss him. Thinking about your brother Sam and his fondness for Time in a Bottle. Give me hope; give me love; give me peace on earth. I guess we could put that in Jim's bottle.

This is a lovely one to match yours, Texas.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with this great one by Billy Vaughn.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAbtfUSTuhY

And the lyrics, folks.

Pearly Shells,from the ocean.
shining in the sun, covering up the shore
When I see them my heart tells me that I love you,More than all the
little pearly shells.
For every grain of sand upon the beach,
I got a kiss for you.And I've got more left over,
for each star, that twinkles in the blue,
Pearly Shells, from the ocean, shining in the sun,
covering up the shore,
When I see them,My heart tells me that I love you ,
More than all the little Pearly Shells
MUSIC
For every grain of sand upon the beach,
I've got a kiss for you,and I've got more left over,
for each star that twinkles in the blue.
Pearly Shells, from the ocean, shining in the sun.
covering up the shore, when I see them.
My heart tells me that I love you ,
more than all the little Pearly Shells
more than all the little Pearly Shells

Good night,

From Letty with love

Billy Vaughn's records were very popular when I was a teen in south Texas, letty.
Let there be peace on earth was a very fitting song to play.

Macy Gray - Kissed It.

Ooh, rain be pourin' down
Every day my mind is cloudy
Got enough tears to fill the sea
They say that I'm a drag
Tell me, I be lookin' sad and nobody wants to party with me
And it's because of you, the silly things you do
The low ways that you treat me,me,endlessly
And i was gonna leave you 'til you kissed it (Kissed it)
I was gonna leave you 'til you kissed it (Kissed it)
I wanted to leave you, then you kissed it (Kissed it)
I was gonna leave you, then you dipped it (Dipped it)
Baby you fixed it (Fixed it) when you kissed it (Kissed it)
I don't wanna fight baby
Kiss it (Kiss it) 'cause I miss it (Miss it)
Make it alright (Alright)
Boy you light a fire in me

Ooh, you treat me like a dog
Tell me all I do is wrong
Treat me like I wear a training bra
You push my love away, then you come to save the day
Then the next thing I be seein' ya with other girls in the club
It don't feel like lovin' to me
I was gonna leave you 'til you kissed it (Kissed it)
I wanted to leave you, then you kissed it (Kissed it)
I was gonna leave you, then you dipped it (Dipped it)
Baby you fixed it (Fixed it) when you kissed it (Kissed it)
I don't wanna fight baby
Kiss it (Kiss it) 'cause I miss it (Miss it)
Make it alright (Alright)
Boy you light a fire in me

Now let me hear you all you hot boys
Ya bring me down, you bring me up
It's alright (It's alright) 'cause it's a love thing
Yeah, it's a long thing
One more time, love thing
Now alright (Alright)
Now all you ladies with a hot boy
They bring you down, they build you up
It's alright (It's alright) 'cause it's a love thing
Say, "Love thing"
Say, "Love thing"

I was gonna leave you 'til you kissed it (Kissed it)
I wanted to leave you, then you kissed it (Kissed it)
I was gonna leave you, then you dipped it (Dipped it)
Baby you fixed it (Fixed it) when you kissed it (Kissed it)
I don't wanna fight baby
Kiss it (Kiss it) 'cause I miss it (Miss it)
Make it alright (Alright)
Boy you light a fire in me

Alright, OK,
Alright, OK, .........................

Ever heard a female voice on one of Smokey Robinson And The Miracles early tracks and wondered who it was?....
Claudette Rogers Robinson (born 1942) is an African-American soul singer, a member of The Miracles from 1957 to 1972.On November 7, 1959, Rogers married Miracles lead singer Smokey Robinson, who became one of the major figures in Detroit's Motown record label.Smokey originally co-wrote the number-one Motown single "My Girl" with Miracles member Ronald White in dedication to Claudette, a song performed most notably by The Temptations. The song was originally intended to be recorded by The Miracles.Smokey and Claudette were divorced in 1986, after 27 years of marriage. Motown founder Berry Gordy gave Claudette the official title of the "First Lady of Motown", as noted in his autobiography, because, as a member of The Miracles, (Motown's first group and first recording act), she was the first female artist ever signed to a Motown-affiliated record label (Tamla).

Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, I was looking for a moon song and ran across that one by Billy Vaughn. Don't know why I know him, Texas. Then I noticed that he also did Leroy Anderson's Blue Tango. Naturally, I love that one because of Anthony Dexter and his movie about Rudolph Valentino.

Sidney Poitier did Amen as well, Texas. Didn't know that Harry did it. Ah, The Lilies of the Field.

Thanks again for your comments.

How long ago, Francis, cello and I discussed that song as being the way to learn a foreign language. Love it!

Glad you're all right, Brit. Sugar Samba by Julia was one that made me want to dance, too. Macy Gray's Kissed it was also a neat one. Hmmm, that conjured up some forbidden territory. Smile

Also loved Smokey and The Miracles Special Occasion. Thanks for the info about the lady who sang with them.

Guess whose birthday is today. Love this guy, but not going to play the moon song. Aren't you glad, mooseman?

Natalie Wood was very pretty. I think I liked her best in that one, with Steve McQueen - Love With the Proper Stranger.

@edgarblythe,
Hilarious, edgar. You mean a lawyer for once is very unfortunate?

Thanks for the comment on Natalie Wood. I think her family wants to reopen the case of her drowning, however.

Today is Kim Carnes' birthday and I had no idea that she did Bette Davis Eyes.

The skipper of the boat is said to have reported a fight between Natalie and Robert Wagner, told in a way that throws suspicion on his part in the story.

I like the Kim Carnes song. It's the only one I know by her. Very good.

A close and dear relative of mine owes her name to this song.
