@Letty,
I listened to them sing while playing, I Write Like. I found that the program tells us Marlowe's Faustus is written in the manner of Shakespeare and that Shakespeare writes like Shakespeare.

Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be Cowboys is one I listen to, frequently. (my english is not good this morning)

Thought I would give one for those down under.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, not quite certain what you mean by the following:

"I listened to them sing while playing, I Write Like. I found that the program tells us Marlowe's Faustus is written in the manner of Shakespeare and that Shakespeare writes like Shakespeare."

Ah, Harry and Waltzing Matilda. Great one, Texas.

Loved the Mooseman's Mama Tried as well.

Another Mama, y'all.

@Letty,
There is a thread on a2k, "I Write Like." It has a program to tell whom it is like which one writes. It has twice likened me to James Joyce. It will analyze any writing you paste in it.

Dear edgar. Now I understand, and thanks for the connection to your former info. I also appreciate POM's discussion. Amazing that you write like James Joyce. Marvelous!

I enjoyed Genesis' Mama as well, Texas. Very unusual and commanding.

Always enjoy Sam Cooke's stuff.

Well, folks, we must not forget Papa's, right?

Here's one by Eddie Fisher.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, that was hilarious. What a diverse talent Queen possesses. Loved it.

Here's something different, folks. a flautist plays an Aretha Franklin song. This comes replete with lyrics.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuYvdLJGq0w

Groovin' on a Sunday afternoon.
Really, couldn't get away too soon.
I can't imagine anything that's better.
The world is ours whenever we're together.
There ain't a place I'd like to be,
Instead of movin' down a crowded avenue,
Doin' anything we like to do.

There's always lots of things that we can see.
We can be anyone we'd like to be.
All those happy people we could meet,
Just groovin' on a Sunday afternoon.
Really, couldn't get away too soon.

No, no, no, no, no.
ah-ah-ha, ah-ah-ha, ah-ah-ha.

We'll keep on spendin' sunny days this way.
We're gonna talk and laugh our time away.
(Ah-ah-ah.)
I feel it coming closer day by day.

Life would be ecstasy, you and me endlessly,

Groovin', (reelin' and rollin'),
On a Sunday afternoon.
Really, couldn't get away to soon.
No-no-no, no.
Groovin'. un-huh, uh-huh.
Groovin' ay-ay.

Groovin is a great song, letty. Trout Fishing in America was my son's favorite group for a few years.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! Great "top tapping " song, edgar. Reminds me of when I caught a sea trout and my friend Bill said I was hot to trout. RIP, dear friend.

Your Lima, Ohio, reminded me of Lima Peru. Here's one that is a geography lesson as well as an animal montage.

@edgarblythe,
Never heard that one by Stevie, edgar. A Place in the Sun reminds me of a book? a movie? Uhoh! I'll be searching again.

Here's a combination of England and Brazil.

I think it would take us more than a day for that trip, however. Smile

I searched for down in Mexico by the Coasters but didn't have much luck. I love Little Richard songs.
Not familiar with James Taylor's Mexico.
