@edgarblythe,
edgar, that one by Paul Anka is beautiful. "...good morning yesterday.." . Love that line.
Thanks, Texas.

edgar, who's Nat? Smile Love that Sunday That Summer, buddy.

Haven't heard Mitch do that one in a while. Wasn't there a parody on that one?

Welcome back, cowboy. I never EVER ignore anyone. Don't know Erik Darling, but thanks for the introduction.

Also like the Rooftop Singers doing Walk Right In.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I shall do so with The King.( No, not Elvis) and another Darling.

@edgarblythe,
Good morning WA2K and edgar. Would love to see and read your poem inspired by "String of Pearls". Bill Withers is great as usual, buddy. Once again thanks for your comments.

Today is Thoreau's birthday, so here is a lovely tribute to one of my favorite poets and lovers of nature.

@Letty,
The poem may not be finished for weeks or even months, letty. That name and title title are merely referenced, not the major key to the poem.

@edgarblythe,
Just make certain that you don't cast your pearls before swine, Texas. Smile

While I play magic, check out Thoreau.

For those who are in love:

Loose translation:

I want to be your song from the start to the end
I want to graze your lips and be your carmine red
Be the soap that softens (your skin), the bath that baths you
The towel you wrap around your wet skin
I want to be your pillow, your silk duvet
To kiss you while you dream and to watch you sleep

I want to be the sunshine that enters and falls over your bed
To wake you little by little and to make you smile
I want to be in the softest touch of your fingers
Get to know your deepest secrets
I want to be something good, released or forbidden
Be everything in your life

Everything you wish to give me, I want you to give it to me
I give you everything a man can give a woman
and beyond the love you always give to me
I fantasize so many things, I always wish for more

You're my sweet breakfast, my perfect tart
My favorite drink, the preferred dish
I eat and drink only tasty things at any given hour
Be it morning, afternoon or night I'm never on a diet
And that love that fuels my fantasies
It's my dream, my fiesta, my joy
The tastiest food, my fragrance, my drink
It's everything in my life

Any man that knows how to love
Knows how to give and how to ask for
the best, to a lady and to make of this love
what he eats, what he drinks, what he gives and what he's awarded with

Any man that knows how to love
Gets passionate about a woman
It makes of this love his life
his food and drink in just the right amount

Any man that knows how to love
Knows how to give and how to ask for
the best, to a lady and to make of this love
what he eats, what he drinks, what he gives and what he's awarded with

Any man that knows how to love
Gets passionate about a woman
It makes of this love his life
his food and drink in just the right amount

@Francis,
Nice to see you back, Francis. For once the original by Roberto Carlos is great without the translation. It's the sound of it that is perfect for those who are in love as well as those who are not.

Often, it's just the look that tells the story.

I know and like It's Magic, letty. Thoreau is a favorite of mine. I once hitchhiked into a town many years ago. The surroundings looked pretty rough at one point. I looked around for the source of a loud noise, when my demeanor caught the notice of a patrol officer. He gave me a pretty rough time. Then he looked through the contents of my back pack. When he saw Thoreau and Emerson's books in there, he got back in his car and drove away.

This guy is in the news today. He has been released from detention. Not likely they will get another chance to have him extradited.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for the comments, edgar. You mean there's a patrol officer who knows Emerson and Thoreau? Smile

I remember all about Charles Manson, Roman, and Sharon. Read the book Helter Skelter. Somehow, Manson connected his life to this song from the White Album. Been a while since I followed any of the extradition laws of the U.S. Doing this all from memory as I don't want my mind to get rusty.

Paul and the song.

@edgarblythe,
Funny, edgar. Hey I saw a harp in those visuals of the stones.

Sooo, from shelter to harp

and then to harpsichord.
