@Barry The Mod,
Good morning WA2K folks.

Barry, that little anecdote about the elephant drinking the jacuzzi dry was quaint. I never hear an elephant story that I don't think of my son.

Yes, the elephant song was quite sad. Gave me a few teary moments, Brit

Loved your kitten on the keys, and it reminds me of my calico cat Big Mamma.

One evening, when I was living in Virginia, I awakened to a strange melody being played on my piano. It was scary, and I crept downstairs to see Big Momma sitting on the right side of the piano playing a strange melody on the black keys one note at a time. Brillant cat!

Today is Peggy Lee's birthday, y'all, so here is a tribute to her.

Also, a song by George Benson to greet the day.

@edgarblythe,
Loved that one by Peggy Lee, edgar. I do believe that Spanish guitarist played a few bars of Meleguena. Ah, yes, Send in The Clowns..."...don't bother; there're here...."

From fools to clowns to jesters.

@edgarblythe,
Fantastic, edgar. I just examined some sagebrush and found that it reminded me of the term, "little white sager." They were the lazy white trash that lay hidden in the broom sage and watched others do all the work. Sagebrush Serenade was a great country song by Poco.

Speaking of flowers and plants, my maiden's hair fern reminded me of another maid. For those who may not know what kind of plant that is:

Here is a maid with flaxen hair.

I memorized Poe's poem when about fifteen. I remembered most of it a lot of years. Finishing that video with Free asa Bird was a good touch, I thought.
My favorite Paul McCarney song comes to mind for some reason

@edgarblythe,
Believe it or not, edgar, I took a night class in literature and our instructor, a woman with a master's degree, could NOT read. I'm being serious. She always called on me to read for the class, and one of the poems was The Raven.

Well, I love Band on the Run with Sir Paul, so how about a fox on the run.

Speaking of running, I wonder where our music lovers are? Wish dj would return and represent Canada.

@edgarblythe,
You know, edgar. I love the sound of those oldies. Don't know that one, buddy, but I really enjoyed the duet. We'll dedicate that one to Dlowan.

Art Linkletter died today. Strange that I know his name, but don't remember much about him.

Kids say the Darndest Things.

RIP, Art

I remember Art very well, and I think it is because he is the first person I saw on TV. My mom watched his shows.

@edgarblythe,
Well, edgar, I most certainly remember Jack Benny and The Kingston Trio, but the only one that I can remember by them at the present is Tom Dooley. Great balladeers, buddy. So, they are in the Tijuana Jail; guess what I'm going to play.

My comments on Herb Alpert got left out, somehow. I have always liked his music. Never heard any bad gossip about him.

@edgarblythe,
It's all right, edgar. I knew you liked him, and I liked your song I Was Born to be a Cowboy.

Time for me to say goodnight, and here is a lovely one to sleep by.
