Oh, my goodness. Izzie sailed off into the sunset and didn't even listen to Frostie the cockatoo shake his feathers.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with one of my favorite classical pieces.

Claire de Lune is a good way to end an evening. I spent the evening watching lost. I dedicate this Roy Orbison song to all the fans.

Good morning everyone.

edgar, you'll have to tell us about Lost sometimes. Great one by Roy. Never heard It's Over, but I like it.

Bye, Brit

What a surprise to hear that lovely lady, Lorez, sing I Can Sing a Rainbow. I sang that one so long ago. Soz told me that the woman who did it by "signing" was terrible.

Wow! That exquisite oriental lady Eli OhNo was magnificient doing April in Paris, and we all know Marvin, but I have never heard Distant Lover. Thanks London.

Cannot believe that it's Bob Dylan's birthday. How long ago I heard him sing, Lay Lady Lay. Still like it. I guess it's the memories that keep things alive.

Here is one by him, and of all things, from his TV Channel.

Still wondering where Merry Andrew and Seaglass are.

All of a sudden it is hard to locate prime Dylan recordings on youtube. However, I have a video here of Jerry Lewis advertising his new album, Lewis Sings Dylan. BUT - Martin Short stands in for Jerry.

@edgarblythe,
That was hilarious, edgar. Thanks for the smile this afternoon.

Today is Patti LaBelle's birthday. Had no idea that she did the sountrack to Beverly Hills Cop.

@edgarblythe,
Love George Strait, edgar. Thanks for that song by him.

Inspired by your famous dates in history, here is a tribute to Queen Victoris. I have what is possibly a rare book by Agnes Strickland that is dedicated by gracious permission to Her Majesty. Have also been interested in the fact that she is the queen who carried the gene of hemophilia that was passed on to the young prince. Rasputin actually helped that child. More about that later.

I didn't know that much about Albert. What a love story. Well, I wanted to post this for Queen Victoria. Most persons I have played this one for have been put off at its slow pace, but I love it very much.

@edgarblythe,
Well, edgar, you and I must both admit that Albert was one handsome guy.

I listened to Leonard Cohen singing about Victoria, and as usual, he was a bit cryptic. Victorian women were helped by Freud, incidentally.

These lines piqued my curiousity.

the Twentieth Century belongs to you and me.
Let us be two severe giants not less lonely for our partnership,
who discolour test tubes in the halls of Science,
who turn up unwelcome at every World's Fair,
heavy with proverbs and corrections,
confusing the star-dazed tourists
with our incomparable sense of loss.

What a poet was he. Thanks for that one, Texas.

Well, folks, today is Priscilla Presley's birthday, let's remember the good times, shall we.

Another OOPS. Will open that canned heat when it gets cooler here.

@edgarblythe,
Just listened to Canned Heat, edgar. My gawd that refers to sterno. It's what protected the man in The Andromeda Strain from getting the virus. Love that song, and it's another that I know and don't know why I know it. Thanks, Texas.

More synchronicity as I just read where the Duchess of York is in trouble again. Loved one comment made about the royal family. Some contributor said they were on welfare.

Thanks to Region, We now know that Merry Andrew and SGlass are all right.

Gonna say goodnight with the Patty and Beverly Hills Cop.

Hope we get London and Paris back with us.
