@edgarblythe,
My word, edgar. Just looked at the flooding in Tennessee and the stage at the Opry being under two feet of water. Yikes! a lot of stuff from the old days seems to have been damaged. They have "high hopes", too, and hope to restore everything.

I am totally amazed at how much Hank III looks like and sings like his grandfather. Loved Moanin' the Blues. Searched this one out, because it is my favorite of Hank Williams. The man was a poet.

@edgarblythe,
Loved Fat's Ain't that a Shame, edgar. I think most of us know that Chubby Checkers adopted his nom de plume from him. Thanks for those dates to remember, Texas.

Here's one by Chubby, then a memory of the end of WWII in the European theater.

The Duke never sounded better. Chubby's song I don't recall, but it's not bad.
Here is a tribute to Tommy Duncan.

@edgarblythe,
Yep, Time Changes Everything. Great western song, edgar.

Here's one guy that doesn't change, folks. When the mooseman talked about his bean stalks, and made a pun about Jack. I decided to play Ray.

The film Ray sort of ruined Ray's live performances for me. All that negative imagery. Not saying I turned against the man. I still love his voice and recordings.
I went and found Louis Armstrong to perform this afternoon.

@edgarblythe,
I didn't know that sachmo did Kiss of Fire, edgar. Amazing.

Boy do I love that blues piano. Don't know Mary Lou Williams. Thanks for the introduction.

Remembering these little fellows that use to hunt for food on the beach, but skitter out of the way of the waves 'cause of those fragile little legs.

@Letty,
Letty this phrase in the title: "Lass dich nur nichts nicht dauren" I was told it means something along the lines of don't worry so much, don't be bothered by it or don't let it get to you.

Noticed that C.I. is back so I sought out some music that would be a tritue to Lima, Peru where he is at the present time.

This is a wonderful song to say goodnight with, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
Good morning WA2K folks.

edgar, Amazed that Sir Elton did that one. Bing Crosby and Grace Kelley did it as well. (I made a boo boo too; that should have been TRIBUTE)

Really liked The Hilltoppers' The Joker. It seems that they also did Poor Butterfly as well. That's a great jazz tune, Texas.

Today is Billy Joel's birthday, and this one is my favorite by him.

UhOh! the name of that classical piece that introduces his song will be stuck in my head today.

For some reason, y'all, I awakened with this classical piece running through the cd of my mind.

edgar, Put a Little Love in Your Heart was perfect. Thanks, Texas, for both the historical happenings and the recognition of the other music.

C.J. Thank you so much. Yes, it is a bit difficult, but I was looking at all of his things from the past, and it was a good memory.

Happy Mother's Day to you as well!

If anyone is interested, my Chicago friend found out what melody Billy Joel was playing at the beginning of My Life, and here it is. What a beautiful song.
