Good early morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, Thanks for all the music you played here on our radio.

Love Norwegian Wood, but I have only heard that by The Beatles. Humphrey and Dumptrucks?

That video by Frankie, Frank, and Perry was funny. Thanks for the smile.

Elvis' Suspicions was a new one to me. Didn't sound like him, somehow.

When I first saw your song, Drops of Jupiter, I read it to be "Train Drops of Jupiter." I didn't realize that the band's name was Train.

Hey, Brit. Where have you been? Glad to see you back, buddy. Nina sound pretty good on that one. Frankly, I never cared for her much. Strange woman in many ways.

Two songs for the early morning. First, Matt Monroe. (started to play Nina Never Knew, but decided against it). Instead, here is one of my favs by the singing bus driver.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fhvbS5Ng_8&NR=1

Now, since it's Bud's birthday, one by The Four Freshmen.

Yep, we'll remember always, graduation day.

We'll dedicate this also to my friend, Donnie, who died. RIP senator.

Graduation Day is my favorite by that group, letty. Good Matt Monroe. I did not know that song.
John Gary does a nice version of this song

@edgarblythe,
John did a great version of that song, edgar.

I'm Free was funny to me. Hmmm, what are those bobbies going to do to poor Mick?

I think we all remember Rogers and Hart and since today is Lorenz Hart's birthday, here's a great jazz instrumental replete with the lyrics.( by Lorenz, of course)

Have you met Miss Jones
Someone said as we shook hands
She was just Miss Jones to me

Then I said Miss Jones
You're a girl who understands
I'm a man who must be free.

And all at once I lost my breath
And all at once was scared to death
And all at once I own the earth and sky

Now I met Miss Jones
And well keep on meeting till we die
Miss Jones and I

And all at once I lost my breath
And all at once was scared to death
And all at once I own the earth and sky

Now I met Miss Jones
And well keep on meeting till we die
Miss Jones and I
Miss Jones and I

Miss Jones and I

Great one by Billy Paul, dys. Me and Mrs. Jones reminds me that it's hard to keep up with the Joneses these days.

edgar, Ah, Michelle brings back some fond memories. "...tres bien ensemble..". How long ago cello and I decided that the way to learn a language was through music. Thanks, buddy. Paul does a great job with that one.

Today is Bing Crosby's birthday, (my mom loved him but my dad didn't) so here's a tribute to him. I love The Bells of Saint Mary's" but I cannot find it by Bing.

@edgarblythe,
I didn't know that Ringo wrote that one, edgar. Love it, incidentally.

Well, Maybe The Beatles need a yellow submarine for this octupus.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwAqhThd_EQ&NR=1&feature=fvwp

and another song for this creature of eight tentacles.

OOPS missed Bobby and Clyde, Texas.

Incidentally, Ringo also wrote Yellow Submarine.
That octopus would have scared the daylights out of me.
Nice drawing in that second octopus video.

@edgarblythe,
Great one by Bobby and Clyde, edgar. (almost said Bonnie and Clyde)

If you look down a bit, you'll notice on the giant octupus show, that one attacks a submarine. Amazing, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
I like Joan Baez. I've been trying to find "mi venganza personal" sung by her on the internet but to no avail.

So, something different:

Great song by Joan, edgar, and I never heard her do that one about the Gulf Winds..

Francis, I don't know Barry Ryan and never heard Eloise. I enjoyed it. Thanks for the introduction.

Odd, I was looking for Mel Torme's Four Winds and the Seven Seas, but could not find it either.

Here's an interesting song, y'all. This guy used to be part of Crosby, Stills,and Nash.

edgar, I love that song, buddy. Especially like the way he pronounces DEtroit City.

Urs, the only Eloise that I know is the one that lives at The Plaza. Great seeing you back with us.
