When I was young, I was fascinated by "Sparky's Magic Piano"

You don't often see Part 2 now.

Good morning, Brits.

Wow! More UFO's? Loved the theme from the X files, and that Discovery lift off was awesome. Victoria's song gave me a big smile this morning.

McTag, never heard that song by the kid's piano. Wonderful for the child who wants to learn to play the keyboard.

I'll have to hand it to Doris Day. She stood by Rock Hudson all the way. Didn't she do, "Everybody loves a lover; I'm a lover everybody love me."?

Today is Jackie Chan's birthday, and I love this one by the famous duo, y'all.

Never heard that version of Please Don't talk about me when I'm gone, dys.

Like Jefferson Airplane's Don't You need somebody to love. Thanks edgar for commenting on Jackie Chan and his buddy.

Gus, Welcome back. Don't forget, buddy. "...all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death..."

Cosby, Stills, and Nash's Wooden Ships is new to be, buddy.

How doth the busy little bee.

Saw ONE today pollinating my flower bush, and I have been busy as well.

Today is Lady Day's natal day, y'all. So here she is singing.

@Letty,
Wooden Ships is interesting because both Steven Stills of Crosby, Stills Nash Young as well as Paul Kantner of Jefferson Airplane claim credit for writing the song and it was recorded by both Jefferson Airplane and Crosby, Stills Nash and Young.

@dyslexia,
Thanks for that info, cowboy. Didn't know that! Surprised?

Today is Ressell Crowe's birthday, and I had no idea that he was a New Zelander.

Guess what I'm gonna play, y'all.

Are you referring to the stage at Woodstock, Gus? Were you really there?

Melanie also performed at Woodstock and then wrote a beautiful song describing her expereience:

UhOh, wandel. Gus' cat done got his tongue.

Melanie's Brand New Roller Skates is the only one that I know by her.

Thanks again, edgar, for commenting on the songs we play here. Well, that song about Frank Mills sent me to the archives, Texas.

Frank Mills (born June 27, 1942), is a Canadian pianist and recording artist, best known for his solo instrumental hit "Music Box Dancer".

Sorry that I don't remember that one from Hair, as I really like the musical.

Of course, I know Brenda Lee's I'm Sorry, Texas.

Speaking of The Beatles, today is Ravi Shankar's birthday so let's hear one by him. (the man is still alive)

@edgarblythe,
Goodnight, edgar. Hey Donovan, if you're an Asian cobra, you don't want to mess around with no mongoose. (hmmm, what's the plural of mongoose? mongeese?)

And I'm saying goodnight with a song that I know and don't know why again.

Remember, dear Izzie. No regrets.

From Letty with love for all.
