@edgarblythe,
JPB, I loves that Dixieland jazz, gal. Haven't heard that one, but I was tapping my foot. You sound like me. I go to bed and around nine o clock as well. Have fun, hun.

edgar, Thanks once again for the acknowledgements. Enjoyed your Clyde McPhatter number. Sad about his drinking problems, Texas.

Here are two songs, y'all. First, one by Willie Nelson and then the jazz end to Nancy Wilson's song.

Sing it, Willie.

Now, old blue eyes tribute to his daughter, Nancy.

That is a wonderful recording by Frank Sinatra.
City of New Orleans is my all-time favorite railroad song.
This is a Lloyd Price song, covered by Elvis

@edgarblythe,
ah, edgar, I never hear Elvis that I don't think of stray cat. Like Lawdy Miss Clawdy. Thanks for the memory.

How about a little blues by an oriental guy, y'all.

Big Mama had the best version of that song. Of course, a generation that discovered it with Elvis could not know.

@edgarblythe,
panz, I don't even know who Big Mama is. Wow! I thought hound dog was an early Elvis.

edgar, I know that was a Beatles song, but your cartoon version was funny. Never heard nor saw that one, buddy

Well, the sun has disappeared here, and although we never get twilight, I like this one, y'all.

Good early morning, WA2K folks

Hey, Brit. Wasn't familiar with any of your songs except Gordon Lightfoot. Love that guy. Also remember Barefootin', but not the vocalist. John Glen, of course, is familiar to me, but it was too bad that he became a politician.

Love fish and chips, buddy.

Dear Izzie, couldn't access your Billy Joel song. Love that guy, hun.

Oscar Brown, Jr. is unfamiliar to me, but I hate that he still carries a grudge about slavery.

Couple of songs for this early morning, y'all.

First, Billy Joel and the first song that I ever heard by him.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85sIJcC8zbs

Here's Jonathan Edwards. (wonder if he took his name from the Jonathan Edwards who wrot "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God")

I couldn't sleep, either. Happens to all of us sometimes.

@Letty,
I love the Platters and Nat, as you well know, letty. My computer froze when I tried to open Billy Joel, so I will be a bit slow today.
