Good morning from Florida and to all our WA2K folks.

panz, The trenchcoats doing Walk Like an Egyptian were fantastic. Love a capella, buddy.

Hey, Brit. Couldn't access Ricky. He was blocked in our country.

Too bad about Abbey Road studios, but that one by The Fab Four was great and entertaining.

Funny, London. "Bless their cotton socks". Great motown, especially Marvin Gaye.

Yep, edgar, at Barry the Brit noted, Elvis and Jerry Lee came through beautifully. Loved Sweet Little Sixteen.

Hey, honu. Love Stevie Wonder, of course, that reggae was great. Will always remember him for You Are the Sunshine of my Life. Remember that one?

A couple of songs for the morning

First, one that I came across by accident. I Stand Alone shows that a woman couldn't sit at "the round table." Hey Camelot, the lady of the lake was a woman.

Now, one by Ricky Martin. Perhaps this will make up for the one we couldn't hear.

News from the world of archaeology. Finally a solution, y'all.

Ah, we miss Aquiunk. Think that was his screen name

@edgarblythe,
Never heard Gene McDaniels, edgar, but really like 100 lbs of Clay

Ah, Johnny Ray. My older sister loved him, and what she listened to so did little Letty. Walking in the Rain was one of her favorites.

Well, folks, Abbey Road may be gone, but Penney Lane lives on.

@edgarblythe,
Don't know Johnny Burnette, Texas, but I liked I'm Always Dreaming. How tragic that he died at the age of 30.

Here are a couple of songs for the late afternoon, y'all. One to match Johnny and the other a tribute.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fW7MoINvQc

Now the tribute to "air" Jordan whose birthday is today.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDLoHqXgMCs&feature=related

Too bad that his private life tended to spoil his great sports ability.

"..let's just say they're Hanes.."

Like Tiger, he should be known for his great ability and not for other things.

This has always been my favorite by Don and Phil.
Never paid much attention to M Jordan, but he was a superb athlete.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! Loved that one by The Everly Brothers, Texas. I've heard it before.

Today is Renee Russo's birthday. I've seen several movies that she was in, but the one that stands out for me is The Thomas Crown Affair.

Here's a tribute to that lovely lady with Pierce.

I saw Rene in Outbreak, with Dustin Hoffman. Didn't see the other films she is credited with.

The Viscounts did Harlem Nocturn many years ago

@JPB,
I like those songs very much, jpb. I have a record of Everly Brothers hits that is bright orange. I am sure it is an import, but don't recall if it's from Britain or elsewhere.

@edgarblythe,
I grew up on the Everly Brothers. I was the youngest of four siblings and both of the elder two were big fans. Love of music trickles down, I guess.

I found another of my personal favorites.

Thanks, JPB for all The Everly Brothers songs. I also like Wake up Little Suzie and found out that it was banned in Boston. Geoge W.Bush said it was his favorites. Funny.

edgar, Don't know Rain by Bobby Vinton, but you know the other two that I liked.

Going to say good night with a couple of songs. First, inspired by edgar, I went to the archives and found that Harlem Nocturne was the theme music for Stacy Keach's Mike Hammer series. Always have liked him since I watched The Ninth Configuration. Never found out why that book/movie was called that, y'all

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gh8q4lDgjDI

Now from Michael Buble, a tonight song.

Goodnight all,

From Letty with love
