Just seen on the news that Francis Rossi and Rick Parfit are gonna be awarded the OBE (The Order Of The British Empire) for services to music later today.No t-shirts and jeans today.Can't wait to see the pics of them in top hat and tails with the Queen.They are,of course,the main members of Status Quo....

Oops, Happy mid morning, y'all.

edgar, Thanks for Laurie singing Whole World in his Hands. Good one, buddy.

Hey Brit. Hope you have a great weekend.

Really enjoyed Sade's The Moon and the Sky. That lady has quite a talent.

Also enjoyed Woman in Love by Joan. Don't know her, but I especially like Fire and Ice.

Really like Status Quo's Rockin, and I can imagine how wonderful it would be to see them dressed to the nines for the queen.

Today is Abraham Lincoln's birthday, so here is a tribute to him.

Incidentally, Ashokan Lament was originally Scottish.

I have a respect for Lincoln as for few other figures in history. We could use some men and women of his caliber these days.

Thanks, Texas, for keeping us on the air.

Don't know Shawn Phillips, but I love that Irish music

Willie Easton gave FDR a great tribute, buddy.

And from the other side, folks, Joan Baez.

@edgarblythe,
My word, edgar, Love Johnny Depp but I can't imagine him doing Alice in Wonderland. Thanks for the trailer, Texas.

That was an odd song by Mick Jagger, but I liked the flute.

Funny, I read that Jimmy Buffett would sing for gumbo. I used to love chicken gumbo. Couldn't find the one he sang, but here is one that is different.

@Barry The Mod,
Hey, Brit, Welcome back. Ah, Sorry that Status Quo didn't get their audience with the Queen.

Wow! Loved that song Gerdunadula. Very different but Great.

Firth of Firth by Genesis was awesome, buddy.

Thanks for all three of those wonderful songs.

Well, it's time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with Chet. What a sad story of a great jazz man, y'all.
