edgar, thanks for keeping WA2K radio on the air. Love Nat Cole doing Twilight on the Trail. Eddie Cantor's "My Baby Just Cares for Me" is a great one. Didn't they call him "banjo eyes"? Alway love hearing Leonard sing, and his Winter Lady was definitely worth the listen, Texas.

Ah, the Brit has pulled the plug again. I especially enjoyed Joan's "In These Times", London. History in a song.

What a surprise to hear Alice do the "furry" muppets and realized that he played golf.

One of my favs by the birthday boy is this one, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I really liked Willie and Julio. They fit together, somehow. "To All the Girls I loved Before" is one of my favorites.

Naturally, John Lennon's song, "Love is Real" is great.

Today is Ida Lupino's birthday so here is a tribute to that lady. I read the book the Light that Failed by Kipling when I was a kid. All I recall is that the man was blind and wanted to paint.

I haven't seen that many of Ida Lupino's films, but I recall her from various TV appearances.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! Loved Plaisir d' Amour, Texas. NaNa Mouskouri is fantastic. I noticed she sang one with Joan Baez, "Where Have All the Flowers Gone." hence the great visuals.

Incidentally, y'all. It was a ferret that became popular after The Beast Master.

Saying goodnight with two songs. I noticed that today is Lindberg's birthday, but think I would rather hear this one by Bunny.

First, the trumpet man, then another oldie done by Michael Buble.

Now, one formerly done by Vera Lynn

Goodnight world.

From Letty with love

Oops, missed Jerry Lee and Hank, edgar. Will acknowledge tomorrow.

Morning Ms Letty,Ed and all WA2k folks.Starting at the science desk with a reminder to our Producer....

"Weather Looks Good for Next Space Shuttle Launch

The weekend weather forecast is shaping up to give NASA's space shuttle Endeavour a good chance of blasting off before dawn on Sunday.

Endeavour and its crew of six astronauts have a 70 percent chance of pristine weather conditions for their planned 4:39 a.m. EST (0939 GMT) launch from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Sunday. The predawn blastoff is slated to be NASA's last ever shuttle launch in darkness."

What a way to go cruising!....

Good early morning WA2K folks.

edgar, loved that one by Jerry Lee doing Hank. "...how can I ease your doubtful mind and melt your cold cold heart.

Hey, Brit. Got a rocket in my pocket was great. Thanks for the reminder, London.

Here's one that we'll dedicate to a cat by the same name.

Michael Buble does good versions of the songs he covers. I saw Al Kooper during a Bob Dylan concert, in 1964. He was a memeber of the band that recorded Like a Rolling Stone. Present at the same concert was this fellow, who sat in the audience, except during the break, at which time he went backstage.
