@edgarblythe,
Good morning, WA2K and edgar. Love that tribute by George to Nat. He sounded a lot like him, too.

I didn't see Brigadoon either, but I had a vinyl called Jam Session, where someone that I cannot recall played Heather on the Hill via jazz saxophone. That is why I became interested.

Love this group as well, y'all, and although Nash is not among them. (it's his birthday today)

@Barry The Mod,
Hey, Brit. Don't know Waterboys, but I love the line, "...I saw the prison, you saw the whole of the Moon..." . Thanks for the introduction. Hurry and get yourself sorted, London.

Well, I played this one on Izzie's liner, so let's listen again.

Teach Them Well is my favorite CS&N song, letty. I should scout up a DVD of Brigadoon, if such exists. First time I heard Indian Summer.

@edgarblythe,
Great, edgar. I've only heard Tangerine by Frank Sinatra, and here is his parody on the song.

Tangerine, Is she all they say
With mascara'd eyes and chapeaux by Dache.
Tangerine, with her lips of flame
If the color keeps, Louis Philippe's to blame.
And I've seen clothes on Tangerine
Where the label says "From Macy's Mezzanine".
Yes, she's got the guys in a whirl, but she's only fooling one girl
She's only fooling Tangerine!

Love it, y'all

@edgarblythe,
Thanks, edgar. A lot of folks have done Let it be me, but I really like that version.

Wow! I was busy today myself and now I'm paying for it, y'all.

Anyone remember the movie L.A.Confidential? Had no idea that Johnny Mercer was part of the sound track.

Dear Izzie, Liam Clancy's Streets of London was fabulous. Thanks, Dancing Queen. Rather reminded me of Molly Malone in Dublin's Fair City.

Urs, Welcome back. Loved Faithfully by Arnel Pineda. and here's one that follows along those lines, dear friend.

Josh Groban

Time for me to say goodnight, and I do hope Rockhead is all right.

dj, talked about misunderstood lyrics, and I'm watched the news which read:

Shakespeare found in Plant City. They were talking about the poor dude who was the lottery winner, but you can imagine what I thought.

Two songs for the evening, y'all.

First, one inspired by McTag from Singers Unlimited

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_rLS7F-q2Q&feature=related

Now a classical piece.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LQzBlp93BA

and the lyrics

Our love
Is a dream, but in my reverie
I can see that this love was meant for me

Only a poor fool
Never schooled in the whirlpool
Of romance could be so cruel
As you are to me

My dreams are as worthless as tin to me
Without you life will never begin to be
So love me
As I love you in my reverie
Make my dream a reality
Let's dispense with formality
Come to me in my reverie

From Letty with love, a smile, and a yawn
