I like that Foggy Mountain Breakdown. I never associated music with Robbie Benson, but I assume he was singing there.

Good morning, WA2K folks. Thanks for the Louis Prima song. Didn't know he was half Italian. Keely Smith is from Virginia and part Amerind and Irish. Great.

Welcome back, Brit. Love the tribute to the Boeing by The Steve Miller Band, and Sam Cooke's "Touched the Hem of his Garment" was great. It seems to me that Jesus said, "woman, thy faith has made thee whole."

Roy Ayers' Searchin' leads perfectly into today's birthday boy, y'all.

Thanks for Journey song. Hi, Barry. Good music.
Here is Peggy Lee with a song that Blood Sweat and Tears made popular.

@edgarblythe,
Never heard Peggy do that one, edgar. Thanks, Texas.

I guess our Brit is making his flight plans to visit India.

Love this one by Jobim, y'all. Out of tune? I don't think so, but the lyrics will explain all.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOkJKxC3l-0&feature=related

Love is like a never ending melody,
Poets have compared it to a symphony,
A symphony conducted by the lighting of the moon,
But our song of love is slightly out of tune . . . .

Once your kisses raised me to a fever pitch,
Now the orchestration doesn’t seem so rich,
Seems to me you’ve changed the tune we used to sing,
Like the bossa nova love should swing . . . .

We used to harmonize two souls in perfect time,
Now the song is different and the words don’t even rhyme,
‘Cause you forgot the melody our hearts would always croon,
What good’s a heart that’s slightly out of tune?

Tune your heart with mine the way it used to be,
Join with me in harmony and sing a song of love,
We’re bound to get in tune again before too long,
There’ll be no Desafinado when your heart belongs to me completely
Then you won’t be slightly out of tune, you’ll sing along with me!
Izzie

@Letty,
Hey Letty, Edgar, Baz, Panz (hugs'u) and WA2K

I'm looking for a song to post... oh... I know... I've know I've played this many times but I was listening to it earlier and I just love this song

Aerosmith - Don't Wanna Miss A Thing

I'm soft rocking right now... actually, musically I'm kinda all over the place.

Just wanted you to know I was thinking of y'all ...

Hey, Izzie. We need to drag panz in here. Loved Aerosmith's "Don't Want to Miss a Thing''. Thanks, hun.

edgar, that one by Mr. Conley, Angel in Disguise, was great. Thanks, Texas.

Hmmm, I think our mooseman has sent the fog our way, y'all. The worse that I have ever seen here. Concerned about the kids driving from Georgia to help me spruce up the place.

Anyone remember Bill Bixby? Today is his birthday, so here's a tribute to the man.

Everyone is here safely, so I'm going to call it a night, folks.

Two versions of the same song will be my goodnight songs.

First, Mary Hopkins. (she's Welsh)

Now, the Russian version.

I remember Bill Bixby, all right. Those Are the Days was the only song that Mary Hopkins got any traction on, that I recall. I like the other version, too.

Good morning, WA2K folks.

Ah, edgar, A Man Without love was great. Thanks, Texas.

Hey, Brit. Love that Baby Elephant Walk. When I was at UVA getting my Masters, I bought everything at India Bazzar, elephant bells and all.

Here's one to match edgar's Man Without Love, and then, since it's Rudger Hauer's birthday, my favorite by him.

Thanks, Brit. Never quite understood Blade Runner. I did like the song, however. I realize that Rudger was an android and that all androids were targeted for distruction by "the blade runner."

ah, edgar, the Irishman sings The Blackboard of My Heart. Love it, Texas. We'll dedicate that one to all the teachers on A2K.

Today is Manet's birthday, so here is our art tribute for today.
