@edgarblythe,
Thanks again, edgar, for keeping us on the air.

My word, I never heard of Mae Questel. What a delightful song by the original Betty Boop, and Shirley Temple sang it and she is still alive. Amazing.

Animal crackers and cocoa to drink,
These are the finest of suppers I think

When I grow up and can do as I please,
I think I shall always insist upon these.

Incidentally, now that things are working, here is the link to the movie about P.T. Barnum.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0209720/

Don't know this guy, but today is his birthday, and he sings great.

Gary Barlow with the British Band Take that.

Oops, missed The Fab Four and It's Been a Hard Day's Night. Sure know that one.

I've seen Barnum's artifacts in a museum, in San Antonio. At the same display were many items once belonging to Tom Thumb.

@edgarblythe,
Incidentally, edgar. P.T. never said "there's a sucker born every minute". The man and his tricky stuff has always fascinated me.

I think he really stunned everyone with his sign "This way to the egress." Loved that one, Texas.

You know, y'all, I'll bet even the kids know this famous fellow, and today is his birthday. Lived to be 100.

Here's one by dear George Burns.

George Burns made just one mistake. He always predicted he would reach the age of 100. Having reached his goal, he died. He should have held out for 105 or more.

Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, Hoagy's Georgia was a surprise to me. He and Johnny Mercer were a real team and fantastic performers and composers. Thanks, Texas.

Hey, Brit. Wolfman Jack's Midnight Special was great. When Bud and I were camping on The Outer Banks of North Carolina, some dude kept following us around with a camcorder and filming him saying that he looked like Wolfman. After awhile, it became a bit much, so I told him to please quit as doing that without permission was illegal. He quit, and I still don't know if it's illegal or not.

Always love to hear "Old Blue Eyes", and although in real life he wasn't a very nice man, he most certainly could belt one. Thanks for the fairy tale song.

My word, I had no idea that Phil did Minnie the Mermaid. Always enjoyed Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Books. Thanks again.

Today is Mac Davis' birthday, and here's one by him, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I really like Sam Cooke, especially Cupid Draw Back Your Bow. He was great on You Send Me as well. Thanks, Texas.

Don't know if any of you out there remember Paul Scofield, but he was a marvelous actor and a "man for all seasons".

Today is his birthday, so here is a tribute to him.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, edgar, I really like Red Sales in the Sunset. Great one by The Platters.

Odd, y'all. I was searching for Harbor Lights (The Platters did that one as well) and came across this one by Boz Scaggs.

@edgarblythe,
Loved that Mickey song, edgar, and the Dino and Fabian duet sent me searching again. Fabian is someone I know, but I couldn't remember why. Sound familiar?

Guess we better play this one for the Mooseman. Hope he's ahead of this breakdown, y'all.

Time for me to say goodnight, and since it's Robby Benson's birthday, here he is when he was young.

He looks a lot better when he got older.
