Good morning, WA2K folks.

JPB, my mom loved Nelson Eddy as well, and I love "Softly, As in the Morning Sunrise". Thanks, Chicago.

ah, edgar. Drive my Car is a new one to me by Sir Paul. Yep, memories. We'll always carry them in our hearts.

Well, just like Tony Bennett, our Brit has unplugged again. Thanks for Martha and the Vandellas. Also loved Junior Walker's "Walk in the Night."

Two songs for the morning, y'all. First, Memories by The Lettermen.

Now, because it's his birthday, one by Michael Stipe with Bruce Springsteen.

Incidentally, Billie Holiday also did Time on my Hands

I am glad Newton invented gravity. It would be disconcerting to drift around like a cloud all day.

I like that Lettermen song very much, letty. And the one with the Boss is pretty good too.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I felt what Tom Paxton was singing, and Kyu Sakamoto was so talented. Thanks for that neat one by him. Love Herb Alpert, of course, and I guess the bull isn't the only lonely one.

More memories, y'all, and Eubie Blake wrote this one as performed by Earl Hines.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNJRLinVXgs

and, y'all, the lyrics

Waking skies at sunrise,
every sunset, too,
seems to be bringing me
memories of you.

Here and there, everywhere,
scenes that we once knew.
And they all just recall
memories of you.

How I wish I could forget
those happy yesteryears
that have left
a rosary of tears.

Your face beams in my dreams
spite of all I do.
Everything seems to bring
memories of you.
Those memories of you.

@JPB,
I love The Lettermen, Miss Letty. Memories was nice to wake up to this morning.

It's been one of those crazy busy days when I'm trying to do too many things at once. Starting to catch some oxygen now.

egdar, isn't it funny the way we laugh just because someone else is? I'm sure that joke was hysterical (whatever it was).

enjoyed Herb too...

and I'll probably spend the next hour listening to the related videos to that Earl Hines piece. Love it!

Today was piano lesson day (on top of everything else). We've put the Christmas book away for another year and are moving on to this.

I didn't understand it, but I was laughing too.

Wow! JPB and edgar. Y'all sent me a searchin' again.

Love the White Knights with Gregory Hines and Baryshnikov. Met Jessica Lange at Mountain Lake and one of those tow headed kids belonged to Bary.

JPB, I checked to see if your Hungarian Rhapsody was the one that Victor Borge did and was imitated by two kids in his tribute. Not certain, but if you learn to play that one, you add another star to your list of talents, gal.

Didn't see Tom Cruise in Born on the Fourth of July, but what a marvelous soundtrack. Sorta reminds me of this one.

Ruby's a great song. Another version of it I enjoy is by Walter Brennan.

Time for Tea and Sympathy.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, Tea and Sympathy by Jars of Clay was cryptic. I listened twice, Texas. Thanks for the introduction.

I'm a bit weary tonight, so I think that I shall say goodnight with two songs.

First a combo by Chicago and The Doobie Brothers. I like both of them.

Now from Nelson

As usual, all.

From Letty with love and hope
