@edgarblythe,
Love that one by Donovan, edgar. "...a flower to a garden..." was a wonderful line from the song.

Here's a new version of Cat Steven's song, y'all.

Good morning evabodeeee. That song is perfection, letty. Good version, too. At one time, I thought Cat must have written it. Not so. I don't recall the author's name, however.

edgar, Thanks for that info about Cat. I thought he wrote it as well.

JPB, Wow! That Morning by Grieg is fabulous. Thanks, Miss squirrel.

Today is Robert Duvall's birthday, and I loved him in To Kill a Mockingbird. (odd, that's the movie that I thought inspired me to write the poem, "To whoever finds this I Love you")

Uhoh. The classical music behind this video will haunt me because I know it, but not the composer or name)

"Hey, Boo." (he was the mockingbird)

The dialogue from the movie that sealed Tom Robinson's doom was, "...I felt sorry for her..."

A mystery resolved and one unresolved, y'all.

First the unresolved mystery of the death of George Reeves still remains a cold case. Here's a tribute to the man, because today is his birthday.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2npSpiMCuQ4&feature=related

Now a minor one finally discovered by Letty.

The classical music behind the tribute to Robert Duvall was Wagner's The Ride of the Valkyries.

I like Duval and the tribute music. Throughout the years, he is one of few actors that could surprise me with the roles he played.
I have always known "Morning," but never had an idea what it was called.
And George Reeves, one of the silly guys trying to court Scarlet O'Hara. He reminded me of Steve Allen when playing Clark Kent.

@edgarblythe,
Great montage of them brothers, edgar. I recall having heard them sing "Wake up Little Suzie." Liked that one, of course.

Today is Diane Keaton's birthday, so let's hear a tribute to her.

A lot of folks don't like Barry Manilow, but I do.

@edgarblythe,
Funny, edgar. Yes, Diane is a good imitator.

That one by Julie Driscol is a new one to me, Texas, but I discovered she was a Brit that married a jazz man. Thanks for the intro.

Love this song, y'all, as it reminds me somewhat of my doves.

Sing it, Marty

JPB, Loved The Everly Bros. Nightingale. Great job by them. Also smiled at Marty's Spanish Eyes. He's show people for certain.

Ah, Miss squirrel. Your first day on a new job, right? Hard Days Night is perfect.

edgar, Never heard George Baker nor Little Green Bag. (thought for a moment that was little gree bug.)

Well, How about another bird, folks.

My word, folks, our Mooseman is back with Booker T. Are those "hawgs" they're ridin'? Great, buddy.

I'll beat edgar to the draw and say that I like K.D. Lang's version of that better, but the only version that I could find by her was a capella, and for once, I didn't like it.

Time for me to say goodnight, and since George Baker is Dutch, we'll do Dutch Eagles.

We'll dedicate this to our Dutchy.

From Letty with love and a hope that it gets warmer here.

Morning Has Broken
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Morning Has Broken" is a popular and well-known Christian hymn first published in 1931. It has words by Eleanor Farjeon and a traditional Gaelic tune known as "Bunessan" (it shares this tune with the 19th century Christmas Carol "Child in the Manger"[1]). It is often sung in children's services. Pop and folk singer Cat Stevens included a version on his 1971 album Teaser and the Firecat. The song became identified with Stevens when it reached number 6 on the US pop chart and #1 on the US adult contemporary chart in 1972.[2]

Brit, that was the most awesome version of Morning Has Broken that I have ever heard. Love the Irish whistle, buddy, and we shall have to dub you as our resident musicologist. Thanks once again.

Today is "Mr. Bean's" birthday so here is a tribute to him, y'all.
