JPB, love all those Bela songs, especially the Tibetan throat singers. Thanks Chicago.

edgar, Wow! Positively Van Gogh was unique just as Dylan is. Thanks for the acknowledgement, Texas

Speaking of unique, y'all, here is half a horse with no sleigh.

Time to jingle those bells.

As they slowly add Beladonte's best vintage recordings, I post them here. I have copies of all his albums on vinyl and CD, from the first to Jump Up Calypso. After that, only a few, notably Paradise in Gazankulu.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I love Shenandoah, especially by Harry. What a voice.

Speaking of Bela, how about a little Bela of the classical kind, folks.

@edgarblythe,
Love Johnny Horton, edgar, but I had never heard that one about "polishing Rudolph's Nose."

And Old Christmas Card by "gentleman Jim" was lovely.

How about another pony song, y'all

@Rockhead,
Great anti war song, Rocky. Aren't haggis and chitterlings about the same? Razz

Here's an unusual song inspired by the gypsy violins.

Don't know the vocalist, but I like his voice accent and all, y'all.

I couldn't find any of the songs on youtube but there are samples of the songs on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Lost-Music-Early-America-Moravians/dp/B00000C2HQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1260736210&sr=8-1

Lost Music of Early America: Music of the Moravians
I got the set of 2 CD's out of curiosity since it's the only music I've ever seen sold for Thanksgiving. It has Moravian music for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Lent, and 3 misc. works.

Today is discovery day on WA2K. I just found out about the guy who sang "I Know Why and so do you"

Muslim Mahammad oglu Magomayev (Azerbaijani: Müslüm Məhəmməd oğlu Maqomayev; Russian: Муслим Магометович Магомаев; born August 17, 1942 in Baku, USSR, died October 25, 2008 in Moscow, Russia) was a Soviet and Azerbaijani baritone operatic and pop singer of the 1960s and 1970s.[1]

@Rockhead,
Pink isn't the horse's color. Green might look nice on him/her.

On-Air Challenge

This week's puzzle is called "I Will Lead." Each clue is a word that contains the letter "I" inside. Rearrange the letters to get a new word that starts with the letter "I." For example, if the clue is "Susie," the answer would be "issue."
