Creature in Space was a bit unsettling, but riveting, nonetheless.

@edgarblythe,
I know, edgar. Here is something better and soooo calming.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAfcSsGCsqY&feature=related

and the lyrics by Simon and Garfunkel.

I'd rather be a sparrow than a snail.
Yes I would.
If I could,
I surely would.
I'd rather be a hammer than a nail.
Yes I would.
If I could,
I surely would.
CHORUS
Away, I'd rather sail away
Like a swan that's here and gone
A man grows older every day
It gives the world
Its saddest sound,
Its saddest sound.
I'd rather be a forest than a street.
Yes I would.
If I could,
I surely would.
I'd rather feel the earth beneath my feet,
Yes I would.
If I could,
I surely would.
CHORUS

Strangely, I have been meditating a bit.

It's time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two songs.

The first one is by Dino.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOIsFBvvbfA

The second one is a lovely hymn that my Dave asked me to sing when I talked to him on the phone one evening.

It's odd, but I think that is why his rose bush is growing again.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyuOIYCERc4

I expect to see it bloom in the future.

From Letty with love and hope

@Letty,
I love El Condor Pasa and Blackbird. Didn't know Dino had a version of Misty Moonlight, but I like. And your last was very soothing to me. Here is a local boy with my good night song-

Good morning, WA2K radio folks.

edgar, I have never heard Don Williams, but his "Only Love" was beautiful. Thanks for the introduction, buddy.

Hey, Brit, welcome back. That info on Montelone reminds us of the day when real artisans made things by hand. Fantastic and thanks.

Really enjoyed Time After Time by Stacy Rowles. Nice quiet jazz. Thanks again. Yep, "live long and prosper"

Well, y'all, I missed it again, so a photo will have to do, I guess.

Today is Gordon Lightfoot's birthday, and I really like the guy. Here is one by him to greet the day.

@Letty,
Good morning Letty.

Saw Gordon Lightfoot interviewed just the other night on TV. He's into his 70's now and still touring. Here's a song I especially like:

@Letty,
El Condor Pasa has an interesting history letty.
http://www.acuarela.se/ElCondorPasa.htm

It was written in 1913 by Daniel Alomia Robles, a Peruvian composer.

In the 60's Paul Simon heard a group called Los Inkas in Paris and asked them if he could buy the song. In ignorance they told him it was a folk song from the 19th century and the author was unknown.

When the song was released on the Bridge Over Troubled Water album the son of the author, Armando Robles Godoy sued Simon for copyright infringement.

The lawsuit was settled amicably.

This is the version I first heard in the '50's by the great Argentine guitarist and folk singer Eduardo Falu.

Tai Chi, welcome back. I agree with panz. That is not only lovely, it is thought provoking. When I was a kid, I used to pet pussywillows. I also recall cat-tails, but I had to search out the cat-bird. They are called that because they sound like a cat meowing when they sing.

This may be the interview that you watched, but for our listeners, (including me) here it is. So much that I didn't know about that creative man.

This will be followed by one that I recall from long ago.

@panzade,
Oops, panz, missed your contribution. Fascinating info, buddy and the original by Robles was awesome. Thanks again for the education, which I always love. Glad the problem with S&G was settled without venom.
