Urs, great song by Ich and Ich. Razz I know how to pronounce that one, gal. It's aye and aye. He does have a great voice and the melody was awesome. I love folks with mixed ethnicity.

panz, thanks for the bird calls. I think catbirds also have a seat they sit in while tearing up a pea patch. (Thurber, you know) and that bird is rather like a cat with a hat.

This is a fun session today on WA2K.

Tai. I am certain you have the correct pronunciation and of course the windmill man by Gordon is great.

Incidentally, I really do know how to pronounce dun-key-hote.

So long ago, I called Bud a philanderer because he was partying too much with the jazz boys. He responded with, "Do you know what that means?" I immediately went to the dictionary and found "philander" which was a wooly opossum of South American. I responded, "That's what I meant."

Don't we all love to laugh?

Dick Van Dyke did a great imitation as a cockney Brit.

@Letty,
Letty I was an early and voracious reader. You wouldn't believe the words I mangled in my younger years. I still hesitate before pronouncing "adolescent". (Waddaya mean it's got more than three syllables?)

I hope so, panz. I think we're cheering each other up today.

Tai, I was the same way. When a kid grows up with Virginia parents that pronounce things like wardrobe "wadrobe" it becomes a bit troublesome.

Hey, how about some more singing birds, y'all.

When very young and almost but not quite educated, I said swaydo in public a few times.

@edgarblythe,
My word, edgar. I looked that up and someone on Twitter had the screen name swaydo. He was from Texas. You'll have to translate that one for us.

Wow! That bunch of Byrds were mere fledgelings.

How about some more tweeting birds, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
Enjoyed the Stompers, edgar. As usual your post sent me off in many new directions. As a kid if we stayed with my grandparents it was hockey (grandpa), wrestling (grandma) or this:

(I just love his expression when the bass player realizes he's on camera.)

Not just his expression. He switches from 4 notes a measure to a fancy 8 notes... full of melodic runs and rhythmic slaps.
Altogether a simpler time

Hey, edgar. Don't you step on my psuedo shoes. Loved the Stompers and somehow I knew them.

Tai, Don't know Don Messer and His Islanders, but I loved the dance and also got a kick out of the look on the bass man's face.

JPB, Welcome back. Great acoustic guitar by the John Butler trio. Hmm, Aussies are they. Thanks, squirrel. Sheeeze. Do you mean it's only Tuesday?

Like our lovely Canadian, I also went on a goose chase and found this one called Kokomo. Guess the classical, y'all.

@panzade,
panz, that was fabulous. Don't know Toots, but Stevie everyone knows. Never heard Bluesette done by jazz harmonicas before. Thanks, Florida.

Here's one that is similar, y'all. We've talked about birds and geese, etc. How about a swinging shepherd.

It seems that the song prior to yours is working now. Bet you know the classical piece.

@edgarblythe,
I was just thinking of that song, edgar. The crooner and the princess. Love it, and tomorrow, Texas.

Ah, panz didn't know the classical piece.

My goodnight song, y'all.
