@edgarblythe,
Oh---- I'd forgotten about Gene. He was a favorite of my brother's when we were kids.

@Letty,

Hmmm. Couldn't you access the link, edgar? Works for me, Texas.

Damn, You always send me to the archives. Found out that Van Dyke Parks knew Dennis Wilson of The Beach Boys and also knew of his "link" to Charles Manson. Great piano performance, short or no.

Today is also Linda Hamilton's birthday. Remember her? Here's a tribute to the lady, folks.

I enjoyed the video very much, but was that her singing? I'll admit that Hamilton has been one of my favorites among the more obscure actresses, but I didn't think she was a singer. One of her roles that I thought was the more believable and showed off her acting skills well was "Dante's Peak", among my favorite movies, and I watched for a clip of that, but alas none.

One of the more poignant videos was this one from "Beauty and the Beast". the singer is Kelly Clarkson, a personal favorite:

Wow! I've been having trouble with my equipment here in my wee studio, folks.

Welcome back John of Virginia. Well, who knows what will happen to our wee cyber radio by December. Thanks for remembering. Just thinking about Afton Mountain today, buddy.

edgar, loved Gene Pitney's "Only Love Can Break a Heart', and Miss squirrel, "Town Without Pity" is awesome.

Hey, foxy lady. I recall Linda in Beauty and the Beast. Loved the song "Anytime" by Kelly Clarkson. I first recall her in "Terminator 2"

That was Bon Jovi doing the tribute to her

I found a little trailer clip about Dante's Peak, but she and Pierce Brosnan are great in the movie.

First, the clip.

Then a song that both RJB and I like.

Now Hank Snow doing The Wreck of the Old Ninety Seven.

Don't think our Mooseman is doing too well, but I'm certain all will be WELL by tomorrow.

This is his most famous composition

panz, Awesome jazz, buddy. Nat did that one as well. Even the Stones version was good.

Alex, Welcome back. wow! that dream version of Robert Miles' Children was beautiful. Rather put me in a dream mode myself.

dys, I love that song by Don Shirley. Thanks, cowboy. We're all looking for freedom.

Time for me to say good night, y'all. I cannot believe that Bobby Troup did this one. So here is my goodnight song.

Ready for this, panz? I am.
