@edgarblythe,
That is a great turn around by Goldie Hill, edgar. I love Cajun music, buddy. Thanks.

Speaking of Bayou, y'all, here's a goodie by Linda.

@Letty,
hello, hello, Miss Letty and listeners.

I was thinking about squirrels and mooses (yes, I know that's not a word), and about Rocky and Bullwinkle, and then R&B and then this...

@edgarblythe,
edgar, that was the most fascinating thing that I have ever watched and heard. Hmmm. Wouldn't that have made a great history pop quiz? Thanks, Texas, I watched it twice.

I am amazed at the musicians who really like Al Jolson. Bob Dylan was one of them, y'all. Here's a group of his hits, and we shall call this WA2K's tribute.

But they left out my favorite, folks.

Well, we've been a skeleton crew of two, Texas.

Oops, that squirrel flew in here and I missed her. Nuts!

@JPB,
Welcome back, Miss Squirrel. Loved the Temptations song, gal. Incidentally, how do you do the things you do?

Dear Fats. Had no idea he did that one. I guess most of us know that he also played pipe organ. What a talented man.

Well, we've had a great ethnic mix of music this evening, and since I just had pizza, why not say goodnight with Italian.

Good morning WA2K folks.

panz, I do believe that the squirrel and the mooseman recognize that, but thanks for the reminder.

edgar, didn't much care for your goodnight song, but I did see that Rose Mattox did some Hank Snow tunes. "The One Rose That's Left in my Heart", is one that I recall.

Today is Olivia Newton John's birthday, so here is a tribute to her via two songs, y'all.

First, her country side.

Now, the tribute

Olivia is great. Always have liked her.
I got Grady Martin here, putting his own touch to a great song we all know.

@edgarblythe,
Grady Martin. Wow! I just did another search and found out that the played guitar on many songs that have become famous. Thanks, Texas for his rendition of Marty Robbins' El Paso. Love that song.

Another famous performer, y'all. Today is George Gershwin's birthday. Hard to believe that the man died at 37 from a still unknown form of brain tumor. He is another Jewish Russian immigrant that gave so much to America.

First a band song by the man.

Now, an interesting tribute to the man from a group unknown by me.

All that's wrong with this Van Dyke Parks number, it's too short.

@edgarblythe,
Hmmm. Couldn't you access the link, edgar? Works for me, Texas.

Damn, You always send me to the archives. Found out that Van Dyke Parks knew Dennis Wilson of The Beach Boys and also knew of his "link" to Charles Manson. Great piano performance, short or no.

Today is also Linda Hamilton's birthday. Remember her? Here's a tribute to the lady, folks.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I think you may use a different browser and that is why it didn't work. No matter, Texas. You check out Linda Hamilton, and in the interim, I'll play one by Julie London whose birthday is today.

Bobby Troup is supposed to be one of the finest jazz composers, and I need to check that out, too.

I recall Linda Hamilton's face, but not what I have seen her do. Julie London I like. If I am not mistaken, she was wed to Jack Webb.
