alex, welcome once again. That was the oddest "garden' song that I have ever heard. According to the comments, it's a Hungarian folk song. Thanks, buddy.

While edgar and the dys exchange inside information, here's another odd one. We'll dedicate this to JLN and my air conditioner, which is now working.

This is going to be weird day on WA2K.

I didn't know those songs, letty. My Ship is one I feel like I ought to have heard before, but can't recall it. The one about the wind has a nice folk rock sound to it. Also, I know the Chris Cross song. Good stuff.
UTAH
I think you will like this one.

This is another Utah video. I lost the original, which had a much nicer soundtrack.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, that was worth the wait. Utah has some incredible things to see, buddy. Thanks.

Today is Nell Carter's birthday, and I just found out some things about her that I didn't know, y'all.

Nell Carter, the zaftig actress-singer who won a Tony Award for singing Fats Waller tunes in Ain't Misbehavin', died Jan. 23 at the age of 54.

She collapsed and died of natural causes in her Beverly Hills home, according to her publicist. Ms. Carter struggled with diabetes over the years and had a brain aneurysm in the 1990s.

Here is one of her songs from Ain't Misbehavin'

edgar, that song by Jerry Lee and Ray is my favorite song. Used to sing it and it would swing.

It's been a long day, folks, so it's time for me to say goodnight.

Think that I shall do so with two songs. The Illinois Chicago and one of my mom's favorites by Marty Robbins.

First, Chicago.

Love the flute in this one.

Thanks for Nell and Andy, letty.
Chicago made lots of neat songs. That is one of their best.
Marty's song is a fine one also.

@Barry The Mod,
Morning Barry and a2k.
I may be showing bias, but to me her version of the song is a bit too sedate. I love her voice, though. Guess I will give it another listen in the afternoon.

Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, Don't think I ever saw Nell in Gimme a Break, but I do like the theme. Thanks, Texas. Your River of Dreams by Billy Joel was awesome. Never heard that one, but the lyrics imply that he is searching as well.

Hey, Brit. Know what you mean by manic Monday. Same here. Thanks for Susan's version of Wild Horses and the Stones' version as well.

A morning song, y'all.
