@dyslexia,
Great song, cowboy. Stray Cat Strut reminds me of our Stray Cat. Miss her.

Here's a larger cat. We'll dedicate this one to that golfer. You know, that woodsman.

I skipped through and sampled the songs offered. Too many to acknowledge individually.
Got a cat song to add.

@edgarblythe,
Love that Mean Eyed Cat, edgar. Johnny knows how to swing it, don't he? Thanks, Texas.

I really hate the expression, "Hep Cats" but this one isn't bad, y'all.

Oops, missed JPB's Lettermen song You'll Never Walk Alone. Thanks, Chi. I really feel better about storms and being alone now. I forgot who originally said this, but it was something to the effect of ..It may be lonely when we're alone, but worse is being lonely when we're not alone...

Ah, edgar, Cat and Kat. Great combination. Is Katmandu in Nepal? I've been doing some searching but you know us Mericans ain't good at geography.

Well, I guess I could walk with those baby elephants that the cowboy just played.

Here's an interesting reggae song, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
Funny, edgar. Don't forget to listen to the reggae, cause I know you like it. That one was a new one to me.

Here's one that sorta reminds me of those other eight places. Katmandu and No can do.

Rock, that Katmandu song by Bob Seeger was fantastic. Don't believe that one is in America. Thanks, buddy, for the "elevation" in my spirits.

edgar, I couldn't get Billy's Blue Moon to play, but thanks anyway and goodnight.

Time for me to say goodnight as well, y'all, so here is one that was inspired by a woman I briefly met in Tennessee. I always ask about ethnic background.

Goodnight, all.

@edgarblythe,
Good mid morning, WA2K radio. Been having mucho problems today, but have also been reading and doing research.

edgar, love that song about the Teamsters Union. Good and bad, right?

Today is Buddy Holly's birthday, so here is a tribute to him, y'all.

Also trying to find out why I knew the song Now is the Hour. It's from New Zealand. I had forgotten that. Here it is by Marty Robbins.

Lot of rip currents in Daytona Beach, so better follow this mother's advice.

Mother, may I go out to swim?
Yes, my darling daughter; hang your clothes on a hickory limb,
But DON'T go near the water.

Both of those songs are dear to me, letty. This tribute to Buddy, JP and Richie, too.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, edgar. What a great tribute to the big three. Never heard of Buddy Holly until Don McLean did American Pie, but I think Lou Diamond Phillips did the story of Richie Valens. Love Chantilly Lace, and recall it well. Thanks, Texas. We need to remember those who added so much to the music business.

Inspired by JPB, I found this one by The Four Brothers. (hope it's the same four)

The one that I was looking for was Early Autumn, but here we get two for the price of one.

Good morning everybody. I'm giving a little presentation tomorrow and was asked to do a short inspirational talk. I didn't have a clue what to do that hasn't already been done until I was reading my email. And there was mention of the lyrics to "The Rose", on just every everybody's greatest 100 songs of all times list. I looked them up and read them critically for the first time. They are amazing. And now I know what I will use as illustration for my talk tomorrow:

The Rose

Some say love, it is a river
That drowns the tender reed
Some say love, it is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed

Some say love, it is a hunger
An endless aching need
I say love, it is a flower
And you, its only seed

It's the heart, afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance
It's the dream, afraid of waking
That never takes the chance

It's the one who won't be taken
Who cannot seem to give
And the soul, afraid of dying
That never learns to live

When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long
And you think that love is only
for the lucky and the strong

Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snow
Lies the seed
That with the sun's love, in the spring
Becomes the rose
