Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, first allow me to say that Leonard Cohen's poem, A Thousand Kisses Deep was awesome. We've all been there at one time or another. Thanks, Texas.

Brit, always good to see you here and although you have, "pulled the plug", I love every song that you played here. "Don't Make me Over" by Nancy was wonderful. Les Surfs was one song in French that I know without translation. "If I Had a Hammer" is one of my favs since I sang it on TV.

Don't know Newton Faulkner, but love the song, especially the acoustic guitar.

Well, y'all, today is Alan Ladd's birthday and I think most of us remember him for his movie, Shane.

Here are a couple of tributes to him.

Good morning. Pat Benatar sings We Belong.
I watched the Alan Ladd videos, letty. I always enjoyed his films.
I also like Barry's music, this morning.

@edgarblythe,
Hey, edgar, That was a lovely song by Pat. Thanks, Texas. Speaking of "belonging", here is Jo Stafford with her number one hit. Bud liked her because she had absolutely NO vibrato.

@urs53,
Urs, welcome back. We all know that Alfred Nobel invented dynamite so that song must be for your Swede. Love it, gal.

Here's one from him to you.

Kiss.

When I was a boy I looked forward to Jo Stafford on the radio. I still like her, but don't listen as much now. I checked out Kiss and URS 's song.

@edgarblythe,
er, edgar. Did I just hear Nat roll over? Razz Thanks for the Conway song, however.

Today is Charlie Sheen's birthday, and some of you might remember the movie, Young Guns. Lots of neat stars in this flic filmed in New Mexico.

edgar, that duet just awakened the Scottish blood in me. Marvelous, Texas. Love the Corries and especially Wild Mountain Thyme.

Urs, your "full moon" was excellent and the visuals reminded me that "moon" is a German word originally. Just found that out, and the word "hillbilly" may have come from the Scottish highlands. Etymology is fascinating, y'all.

Well, if Canada won't come to us, Diana Krall will, so here she is wanting to fly to the moon.

@Rockhead,
Mooseman, Welcome back. Love that "Me and You and a dog named Boo," . Actually, Kansas, I know that "lobo" means wolf, and I didn't even get to take Spanish.

In response to a moose, a dog, and a moon, here is one that is intriguing.

You gonna have these dancers perform?

Hope the sound is better than that one.

We saw the space station go over this morning.

Fly me to the Moon - good song
Rock's song too.
The lobos are pretty fierce looking. There is a Tom Mix movie, in which he is to fight a wolf inside a house. It is evident that the wolf is terrified, but Mix goes after it anyway and ends up slinging it out the window. Not a good commentary for Mix, I am afraid.
I love Mexican dancers.

@edgarblythe,
Fabulous, edgar. Jose knows the way, Texas, and the guitar is great as well.

Now here is a surprise, folks, a Russian does Rudolph Valentino doing a tango. Wow!

Hope this works, y'all. Been having trouble all day

I guess I'm a typical male, letty. Valentino has never meant a thing to me. Just another historical name getting bandied about. I don't intend my statement in a rude way. Just don't understand the fuss.
edit/ but i like the dancing in the video.

@edgarblythe,
And I guess I'm a typical female, edgar. Nothing is more rewarding than an up front and honest man.

ah, Gentleman Jim. You're right, Texas, the lyrics are lovely as is his voice.

Speaking of waltzing, folks, here is a tribute in history to our Aussie friends.
