hey, edgar. Love the Latency song. Never heard it before, but it's different, and that's what we like on our cyber radio.

Welcome back, Brit. That's a little more difficult than climbing the apples. I have a mantle clock that plays Big Ben chimes.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with Nat and a square, folks.

As always,

Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, I love that Beatles' song. Thanks, for that and the acknowledgement of Nat's song.

Well, Brit, didn't know one song that you played, but we're about learning here.

Especially liked Al Jarreau and Kurt Elling talking Take Five as well as the Hanggai Band.

Today is Barry Gibb's birthday, and I chose one by him that didn't feature his falsetto.

If anyone is interested, check out his background. I, for one, was stunned by it.

@Barry The Mod,
That's the way to learn cockney, Brit. Love every song from My Fair Lady.

" the rain in spain lies mainly in the plain" (I think she's got it)

Inspired by the Aussie's first day of spring, I thought of this great jazz tune, y'all.

Good afternoon. I haven't listened to Harry Chapin lately. In this one he's with a different radio station.

@Letty,
I think "Spring" must be from a 50's show about beatniks..."hang you up"

It's a lovely song...my fave is by Toots Thielmanns, a harmonica virtuoso

edgar, I really like that Harry Chapin song. Well remember The Cat's in the Cradle, too. Just read how he died. TERRIBLE!

Panz, Bud's friend who played great acoustical guitar, did NOT like that song. I like it for the chord changes, but you're right, the lyrics are a bit dated.

Musicians have a rough time, y'all.

Today is Gloria Estefan's birthday. (saw where she broke her back)

Here's one by her.

@Letty,
Thank you for that, Letty.
Like Edgar, I'm partial to Dylan as well. Here's an Irish pair who hung around with him in the early days. Liam Clancy and Tommy Makem (RIP) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=429PaSejZCE

@lmur,
Imur, welcome back. Loved that song, buddy. I guess that is what love is really all about. I had to smile through my tears at the wooden shoes and tulips. I recall your having liked Oscar Wilde's works as well, as did I and still do.

We'll dedicate that one to our Dutchy who now lives in Australia.

How about a little country by Conway Twitty. It's his birthday today, too.

I've liked Conway's songs since he started his career. Saw him once in Corpus Christi, when his current rcords were songs such as Is a Bluebird Blue, Cest Ci Bon and Mona Lisa.
The Clancy/Makem song makes me want to hear the following. (see next post)

@edgarblythe,
Great, edgar, and I am glad that we welcomed our Imur back with the Irish songs. A wonderful tribute to the Jester as well.

Speaking of ships, y'all, I heard this one the other day in the super market, and still like it. It always reminds me of Bob Smith

Here's a brief bio about the man.

Roger Whittaker (born March 22, 1936 in Nairobi, Kenya) is an English singer/songwriter and musician with worldwide record sales of more than 55 million. His music can be described as easy listening. He is best known for his baritone singing voice and trademark whistling ability
