After I wrote my job related lyric, I realized that Reuben James (the one by Kenny Rogers) would have served as a vehicle for my words. But I had not the gung ho spirit to pursue it any further.

@edgarblythe,
I know, edgar, sometimes things just don't fit.

Well, time for me to say goodnight, and the first one by Dino, we'll dedicate to our soccer/Latin George. He made such a funny pun using this song as inspiration. Also, I had pizza delivered tonight.

The second one is by my favorite bus driver, y'all

Dino

Good morning, WA2K radio folks.

edgar, not familiar with Chuck Willis, but I notice that he aligns himself with Buddy Holly. Thanks for the introduction, buddy.

er Mooseman, You're going to Texas? I'm a mite confused which I'm certain doesn't surprise anyone here.

Hey, Brit. Chris Rea is a fantastic vocalist, and when I saw his song Daytona, you can guess what I thought. Turns out to be a car. Love it!

A nod to Jean Piaget whose birthday is today. His ideas of cognitive development are only flawed by the fact that his control population were his own children. Never quite understood assimilation and accommodation, but the concrete stage I understand.

A couple of Sunday songs, folks. Johnny and Kris do it right, methinks. Then a Texas Saint in Germany.

@edgarblythe,
Hey, edgar. The Texas Saint song was new to me as well. Just thought is was appropriate for the road gang.

Love that rather odd Velvet Underground song, buddy. Now I'll have to check out Lou Reed. Thanks.

Kenny Rodgers' sermon was a goodun. Frankly, I love gospel music.

Here's a nice jazz sermon, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
Wow, edgar. Bliss and Bach go well together. Looks as though that vocalist has the whole world in his hand. Could not figure out the ethnic part of the song, but according to the web, it was Arabic. Checked out Lou Reed, too. Hmmmm!

Thanks, buddy.

Well, let's continue with the XFiles. Today is Gillian Anderson's birthday. so here's a tribute to her.

@edgarblythe,
What a lovely voice that woman has, edgar. I got as far as the first happiness of the day. Razz (like the minor key).

Found this translation, but English doesn't have the sound of the Romance languages

The first joy of the day
The ribbon of sunlight
That unfurls in your hand
And caresses my neck

It's the breath of the sea
And the waiting beach
It's the bird that sings
On the branch of the fig tree

The first sorrow of the day
It's the door that closes
The car in which you go
The silence that remains

But soon enough you return
And my life regains its path
The last joy of the day
It's the awaited light (?)

Ah, recalling cello with whom I agreed on the best way to learn a new language is through music.

For example, all, Volare

Volare. It was the #1 song in the world for a number of weeks. We all learned our Italian language that year.

Well, here is Sammy Davis Jr.
