@edgarblythe,
Love both John and George's songs, edgar. Odd, did that Chapman guy do what he did for "fifteen minutes of fame"?

Things aren't behaving well in my studio today, so I'll try again later to watch that lovely visual behind George's "Give me Love; Give me Life"

Two birthdays today, y'all. One old and one that is sugar and spice and everything nice.

First Lucille

Not familiar with Geri.
Lucy I grew up with, of course, from movies and radio, to her TV series.

Here is a favorite of mine from when I was perhaps nine or ten years old. Funny, but I still like every song I have ever liked, from no matter how long ago.

@dyslexia,
I thought at first that the people sitting behind the Chantays were cardboard cutouts. But I saw one of them scratch his ear. The Lawrence Welk Orchestra.
"Oneafol, oneafol."

edgar, I know this one by Webb Pierce.

The only one that I could get to play by the cowboy was Alley Oop and the Ventures. Always liked their Hawaii 50 theme.

Lawrence Welk could be funny, John of Virginia. When introducing Take the A Train, he called it, " Take a Train". funny.

loved the bubble machine as well.

Time for me to say goodnight, and here is another birthday girl, y'all.

Love Jackie Chan. He is funny and good at what he does.

Tomorrow, all.

Cold Haily Rainy Night.

The band members change constantly as they're all individual recording artists.

@Barry The Mod,
Good morning, WA2K radio.

Hey, Brit. I love what you play here. Don't know one of your performers, but they are great.

Imagined Village and their Celtic performers were especially good. Brrrrr, I could feel "Cold, Haily, Rainy Night.

Old School freight Train did Heart of Glass in a different way, London. I liked it.

Thanks also for David Mc's Never, Never, Never.

Today is Stand Freeberg's birthday, and that guy loved poking fun at the USof A. That's a good thing, because any country that can't accept satire is lacking somewhere, right?

Good morning. More comedy.
I just wrote a song lyric for the apartments where I work. Liketohearit?hereitis:

------- ----
By Charles Turner

We came to Tomball looking for a home
We saw the people there never want to roam
Away from ------- ---- and there we settled down
It sure is nice in this quiet part of town

We moved in our furniture and then we looked around
At the pretty swimming pool and the nicely tended grounds
We put flowers on the patio and sat in plastic chairs
I found myself dreaming away my many many cares

There’s a washer and a dryer and a big microwave
And a closet big enough to make me celebrate
The colors are warm and the kitchen’s a perfect size
The living room’s cozy enough to make me realize

(chorus 1)
We love our home and we never want to leave it
We never saw a better apartment home and we never will
We love it here more than strangers might believe it
That’s the reason we’re praising ------- ----

(chorus 2)
We love the peace and we love the people
And we love the landscape where the flowers and bushes grow
For apartment homes there can be no equal
From Delaware Bay to the Gulf of Mexico

There comes a time when something has to wear
But the maintenance crew is always promptly there
They come in with smiles and hands full of tools
When it comes to fixing things maintenance really rules

Well if you need a home just take my advice
Life in ------- ---- is more than very nice
You’ll have good neighbors at a really good price
You won’t feel like a gambler who’s throwing out the dice

We love our home and we never want to leave it
We never saw a better apartment home and we never will
We love it here more than strangers might believe it
That’s the reason we’re praising ------- ----

We love the peace and we love the people
And we love the landscape where the flowers and bushes grow
For apartment homes there can be no equal
From Delaware Bay to the Gulf of Mexico

(to the tune of Battle of New Orleans)

Love Allan Sherman, but he forgot a pair a dice lost.

Hmmm, the meter is a bit off in your lyrics, edgar. Will copy and advise later, Texas. Maybe our Brit can help.

Guess whose birthday is today, y'all.

@dyslexia,
Thanks, dys, for the Grateful Dead songs. I recall Jerry Garcia, but I had to do some research on the band, buddy.

The Grateful Dead was an American rock band formed in 1965 in the San Francisco Bay area.The band was known for its unique and eclectic style, which fused elements of rock, folk, bluegrass, blues, reggae, country, jazz, psychedelia, space rock and gospel"and for live performances of long musical improvisation "Their music," writes Lenny Kaye, "touches on ground that most other groups don't even know exists"
The fans of the Grateful Dead, some of whom followed the band from concert to concert for years, are known as "Deadheads"; they are renowned for their dedication to the band's music. Many fans referred to the band simply as "the Dead". As of 2003, the remaining band members who had been touring under the name "The Other Ones" changed their official group name to "The Dead". Deadheads continue to use that nickname to refer to all versions of the band
The Grateful Dead's musical influences varied widely; in concert recordings or on record albums one can hear psychedelic rock, blues, rock and roll, country-western, bluegrass, country-rock, and improvisational jazz. These various influences were distilled into a diverse and psychedelic whole that made the Grateful Dead "the pioneering Godfathers of the jam band world" They were ranked 55th in the issue "The Greatest Artists of all Time" by Rolling Stones.

Today is Charlize Theron's birthday, and I had no idea she was from South Africa. I saw the remake of Mighty Joe Young, but as I recall, it wasn't very good.

Here is a windsong from that movie, folks. Charlize starred in it. Hard to believe that a woman so lovely could do the movie Monster.

@edgarblythe,
glad to see you back and acknowledging, edgar. Love that one by Harry. Let's see if I can remember the faces on that great visual.

Burt Lancaster; Charlton Heston; Marlon Brando?

Wally Simpson: You can't be too rich or too thin. I used to joke about being 50% of that one.

Ah, it's the good witch's birthday, y'all.
