Thanks, Brit, for the reminder of yesterday. Nope, not doing any moon walk by Michael.

Not gonna do Fly Me to the Moon, either.

dys, Great song by Jim. Can imagine him singing that Moonlight Drive.

Love that Bumble Bee imitation, cowboy, especially that guy swating at the little beast. Those Swingle Singers are fantastic.

Anyone remember playing hide and seek as a kid? "bee bee bumble bee; all who's out gets in free."

Here's a tribute to a fantastic lady whose birthday is today.

We'll dedicate the song to the guys on Apollo.

@Rockhead,
Hey, Rock. I love that piece. Monty Python's way of demonstrating that Salem would get those gals one way of another, and the ignorance of the crowd was performed perfectly.

When I was a kid, we called dragonflys "snake doctors".

Sooo, y'all, how about a witch doctor.

@Rockhead,
Love The Weight, Rock. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes....so, it must be "....take a load off ANNIE...." also love that harmony on "...and..." It doesn't progress where you expect. Thanks, Kansas.

Speaking of mistakes, y'all. Cagney never said, "..mmmm, you dirty rat..."

On his birthday, here's a tribute by George C. Scott.

I had read that this quote somehow got attributed to him, but it isn't a line from any of his movies or broadway performances. As a bit of trivia re Cagney though, he aspired to be a dancer and was quite accomplished. One of his honest to goodness quotes:

"I got a part as a chorus girl in a show called Every Sailor and I had fun doing it. Mother didn't really approve of it, through."

@Foxfyre,
Welcome back, Foxy. You are not only a clever fox you're a wise owl.

Hey, I'm not surprised about James doing that. He was comfortable with his maleness even at Mamma's expense.

This is a funny and yet interesting video.

@Rockhead,
Ah, Rocky. I hate that you and the Brit are on the late shift. Thanks so much for that lovely Bill Joel "Nocturne". It worked, 'cause after talking to my kids last evening, and joining in a song, I really slept.

Funny, folks. I read a headline that said, "Mother says daughter is afraid of Alamo." I, of course, thought she meant The Alamo. Then what should be on TCM, but "The Man from the Alamo."

Let's begin the day with two songs. One from Marty Robbins and one that is a tribute to Red Skelton whose birthday is today.

Hope Mr. and Mrs. edgar are all right.

First, y'all, Marty

Now, a tribute to Red.

Odd. The edgarblythes are supposed to be in Las Vegas.

Good afternoon, Brit. Love that "magic ' song by ELO. Is this the group to which you refer?

@Barry The Mod,
Hey, Britman. Nope, never saw that one, but it was along the same lines. Love those kids' shows.

You know, y'all, after seeing George C. Scott's tribute to James Cagney, I remember having seen one of the creepiest movies starring him that I have ever watched.

edgar and I discussed this some time back. The name of the movie was The Changeling.

First the trailer; then the eerie song that kept playing throughout the movie.

@gustavratzenhofer,
Gus, what a delightful surprise. I am as calm as the Atlantic ocean.

Remember this?

Roll on thou deep and dark blue ocean, roll.
Ten thousand fleets sweep over thee in vain.
Man marks the earth with ruin,
His control stops at the shore.

Oops. I guess I was thinking of Billy Ocean.

That's the worse sync job that I have ever seen.

I've been following your problems, and glad that you have recovered. Tell us where and when.

@Barry The Mod,
Damn, Brit. This is getting odd again. We're on the same track, methinks.

George C. Scott and Kevin Spacey are in the same class. Both fantastic actors. George is from Virginia. Did ya know that?

How about a deja vous song, folks. It's beginning to seem that we're experiencing that on our cyber radio.
