Hey, Mooseman. Why should you be sorry about the "man in black". Never heard that one, buddy. Thanks for the "Folk Singer"

Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

Hey, Brit. Damn, I missed it again, but I really love David Bowie's Star Man. Never heard the other Bowie song either. Thanks for both of them.

This visual is a mite slow, but I hold my breath every time a rocket lifts off at the Cape.

And here's one by Sir Elton that fits, y'all.

Hmmm. We may have to "pump up the volume" on this one.

@Barry The Mod,
Hey, Brit. I used to watch them all the time here. Especially the night launch.

Today is Jan Michael Vincent's birthday. Is this one of the Beatles singing the song?

What a shock to find out that he was an abuser of women. YIKES!

@Letty,
That is an old Beatles song, Letty. WHAT? He abuses women? Shame on him!

It's a hot and humid day in Germany today and it looks like this is our ONE summer day in July. The forecast calls for rain and cold weather for the weekend. Oh well... We'll just have to make the best of it.

Here is a summer song - the Wise Guys 'Jetzt ist Sommer' (it's summer now). One line goes 'egal ob man schwitzt oder friert, Sommer ist, was im Kopf passiert' which means it doesn't matter if you're sweating or freezing, summer is what happens in your head'! Right!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEm8Dtw6EGM

Hey, Urs. Although I didn't understand the words, I love the a capella sound of those Wise Guys' voices, especially the sounds that they make. Thanks, gal. Delightful and I listened twice.

Mooseman, That must be a hobo type movie. Wonder if it was made about the "not so great depression" . Thanks, Kansas.

Odd, folks. Urs' guys are singing about "sommer" and today is Phoebe Snow's birthday. Bet she took her name from this lady of the railroad.

@Rockhead,
Thanks, Rock.

Sorry Phoebe. I had you born a day too early.

I never hear Cherokee that I don't think of Bert Lee, and I do believe that I heard a little of Apache worked in there by Wynton. He's the one that said Rap was just modern day minstrel.

Thinking of Clifford Brown now, and one cannot beat his trumpet, y'all.

Mornin', WA2K listeners and contributors.

Rock, it seems that your name is the moniker of the day. Thanks for Van Morrison's "Wave Length". He is always good. Awaiting to hear from my daughter about my son.

Brit, I hate that you must work overtime with the same pay. Recession? I still say depression.

Cat/Ysuf is still one of my favorites regardless of his religious beliefs. "Thinkin' of You" was lovely, London. Reminds me of another song. (what doesn't)

Not familiar with Air, but "All I Need" was great as was Daddy Cool doing The Eagle Rock. (another reminder)

First a little opera inspired by the dys.

"My Heart at thy Sweet Voice."

Now, folks, Daddy Cool's dance.
