@Letty,
I really enjoyed that Willy Nelson tune, Miss Letty.

Here's one where he's joined by Ray Charles

Seven Spanish Angels

@JPB,
Hey, JPB. Loved that Seven Spanish Angels, but the background was sad. Not certain if this is accurate, but according to one authority, the guy was an outlaw and shot himself rather than be captured. His lover, thinking the gun was empty, pulled the trigger and accidently shot herself, hence the seven Spanish angels took another angel home. Always like to know the background to a song. Thanks, Chi.

Bet Rockhead is hanging out at the Moose Club.

Here's Elvis singing Spanish Eyes, y'all.

I like Willie doing those songs. Also, Elvis song about Blue Spanish Eyes.

@edgarblythe,
That Korean child is marvelous, edgar. It's obvious that he is doing his OWN playing, but not so with this Oriental child. I love Mozart's Turkish Rhondo, and I couldn't see her hands well enough to judge. Mozart himself was a prodigy.

Wish I could find the funny farce version of that one:

"Bang that pianer and make it hot, Mr. Mozart's turkey trot. "

So, what do y'all think. Is this child really doing the real thing, or is it staged.

I think the child is playing. Not that my judgement is any better than anyone else in this matter.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, that was truly beautiful. Now I recall that Bob Dylan once performed with them, and that they also did The Weight, which was Take a Load off Fanny/Annie (whichever)

Thanks for your input on that child playing Mozart. Incidentally, that should have been Turkish Rondo, folks.

Here are a couple of songs. First one inspired by edgar's Whispering Pines and the other, a sea song.

Another version of this song was in a famous movie. See if we can guess which one.

Beautiful images in that first video, letty. The sea song is good, but I don't know the film it was used in. I suspect Pirates of the Caribbean, since I haven't seen those films.

edgar, I love that folk song, but I never heard it either. Great guitar playing. Thanks.

Well, give that dog a bone, folks. George, you got it. It was Robert Shaw (Quint) in Jaws. Too late to sing what shall we do with a drunken sailor early in the morning. Razz

Here's one by Bobby Darin for all of us who like sharks and macs and dogs.

Oh, the shark has pearly teeth? I hope I never find out.

@George,
Love that Irish shanty George. I didn't realize that it was an imbedded link. Thanks. Especially like the whistle. I didn't know that you were Irish

Sheeeze, y'all, there's that cowboy playing "Gotta stop kickin My Dog Around" Run Sally; run. Back later to listen to the entire song.

Don't think I'll give that one another listen, dys. Once was enough.

George, that song by the Clancy Brothers made me tap my toes and clap along with the audience.

Time for me to say goodnight and this is a lovely song for the evening. In my secret garden, I have a tiny tree frog on a lily pad.

@edgarblythe,
Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

ah, edgar, you remembered Lotte Lenya and Kurt Weill. What a surprise to discover that she was Rosa Klebb in the James Bond movie, From Russia with Love. That's an excuse for us to listen to Matt Monroe again, but first, y'all, another surprise.

That lucky old sun.

I really hoped that Endeavor would have lifted off from the Cape last evening, but storms once again prevented the lift off. Where are those storms that the weatherman is forever touting.

So, here he is again, folks.

Sure do miss Debacle.

@edgarblythe,
Tan shoes and Pink Shoelaces? You're right, edgar, but I remember that song. Tried to find something by Fabian without much luck.

Guess whose birthday is today, Texas, and this is perfect for the Cape thing.

Hey, Mr. Spaceman.

Ah, another Monday and everyone is working. Guess we need to play something in case they have a radio at work. Hey, you folks out there. You're lucky to have a job in this climate.

How about something by the Kinks.

Hmm, wonder if they mean the queen or the falls.
