The Four Preps sing my good night song.

My sunny side is fried, letty. It was too hot to sit out there for the fireworks.

Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

Izz, thanks for the James Brown song and the info on the gathering. Used to have a doorbell that played Westminster chimes, and a pendulum clock as well.

Yep, Brit, one cannot beat LIVE music.

edgar, My word, Texas, The Four Preps and that "...Down at the Station.." was a song that I sang as a kid. Love it! Your "sunny side fried was funny." Thanks for the smile.

I have NEVER, and I mean never seen such traffic on A1A. We had egg plant parmesan and sat at outside tables. Also had a bit of red wine (Merlot) The fireworks were ok, I guess. Over the ocean they tend to be more dynamic. I especially like the "star bursts".

Wow! Just saw that an explosion at Ocracoke, (outer banks of N.C.) killed one and injured three others.

Ok, y'all, enough exposition; how about this song. It was one of my cognitive insight moments.

I have never seen anything more awesome than a setting full moon over the Intercoastal. It was blood red.

I had not hear that version of Fine Brown Frame, letty. I only came late to really appreciate Lou Rawls.

@edgarblythe,
Good afternoon, edgar. I have never heard that one by Pat. Hey, Texas, he sounds good on that one. "...four leaf clover and an angel on my shoulder..."

Today is Huey Lewis' birthday, so let's hear some news from him.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z02LHM1kROM

Been doing some research today, y'all, attempting to find what causes a red moon. Incidentally, it was the fireworks truck that blew up on Ocracoke. Authorities are still trying to find the reason. Another victim, too. I'm interested in the final results as I have been there.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! that was shocking, edgar. Just found out that there is also a flower called Jacob's Ladder.

Hmmm, folks, sorta looks like Rock's moon flower, no?

Inspired by the lovely bloom, here is our opera contribution for today.

@edgarblythe,
Great song by Harry, edgar. I do believe I recognized some familiar faces in that lovely Liza song.

Just as you, I ran across this great song by a man that I had no idea could sing so well.

Ken Curtis, y'all.

Hi, mz. Iz. Love the Snow Patrol song, but instead of open your eyes perhaps it should read close your eyes. The clock reminds all of us.

And, who doesn't know The Fab Four's Hard Days Night. Still love it.

edgar, Rex Allen was great. Love the song , Melody of the Plains ,as well. Had to check him out. Thanks, Texas.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I'll do it with one of England's own, Matt Monroe.

And since it is Sunday, I'll play the beautifuf hymn that was inspired by Rock who played the secular one by Paul Simon.

First Matt, y'all.

Now Bach's lovely hymn.

Good morning, WA2k Radio audience.

edgar, I love that country song. My cousins in Richmond did that one.

Done, Barry the Brit, and I hope y'all get to see the live concert of that snow bunch. Florida and Texas can use something cool.

Well, folks, our president's diplomacy will be tested when he visits Russian, so let's hope that the entire situation will be "From Russia with Love". Razz

Matt again, 'cause we all love him.
