Well, guess we've gone from wild things to the sun sings.

Dys, you and edgar be sure you check out those songs gone wild.

Love the Fab four's Good Day Sunshine, edgar, but Janis Joplin's voice always makes be blue. I guess the sumertime was too much of an "easy living" for her.

Well, your PD/Producer has one by Elvis that I never knew existed.

Wild in the Country, y'all. Setanta is right. Michael and Elvis will do better now than they ever did when they were alive.

I've been checking the wild songs. They are mostly pretty good. I've listened to the Elvis song many times.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! I had forgotten The Doors and Jim Morrison, edgar. He didn't look too well, either. "...wild child full of grace..."

Remember The Troggs?

Here's one by them done later in life.

More trouble on the home front, y'all. Will be back later with my goodnight song.

I almost posted the Troggs' song myself, letty. Some may recall another version of that song. It featured Robert Kennedy (impersonation). I recall him saying, "Teddy on the ocarina." Could not youtube it though.

@edgarblythe,
Teddy on the ocarina? Wish you could have found that one, Texas.

Jerry Lee is a great goodnight song, buddy. He did have his wild moments.

My goodnight song, folks. This one was inspired by our edgar.

We all have our bad days and good days, and as I once noted so long ago, life is too short to hold a grudge.

Tomorrow, all.

This gave me a smile today. Someone thinks that Enrico Caruso is German.

@dyslexia,
Good morning dysieBob.

Here's one for you from some weird guy.

I believe that the same guy who thought that Enrico Caruso was German did the camera work on this one.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, that Billy Joel song was marvelous. Thanks, Texas.

The Revolutionary War was probably as unpopular as the war in Viet Nam, y'all, due to those who wanted to remain loyal to King George III vs. those colonists who said that we should govern ourselves.

Here's a brief history of The War for Independence, plus a lecture on the song Yankee Doodle from the first in war; first in peace; first in the heart of his countrymen, man.

I knew much of the history of Yankee Doodle, but picked up a few things.
I sort of think the Revolution marked the first stirring of Manifest Destiny.

Hey, Izzie. Thanks, Britess. The best way to stay safe is to stay home and watch the fireworks tomorrow.

edgar, as usual, loved the Bob Dylan song and his tribute to Woody Guthrie.

A couple of songs for the evening, y'all, and one is for our Phoenix and the good news as sent to us by eeyor. Thanks, Rog.

First, for Phoenix, who once again has risen from the ashes and will be home after her successful surgery in a couple of days. HOORAH!

First, Louis telling phoenix to direct her feet to the sunny side of the street.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-7FFtUsWYA&feature=related

and now a funny one from Virginia featured in the musical, 1776.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2Tiar8FqXU&feature=related

Good night all, and we hope that Barry the Brit was a wonderful host to our Virginian. (sure he was)
