edgar, that Neil Diamond song was marvelous. I love the way he becomes a song and a tune that needs to be played.He is a perfect metaphor. Thanks.

Night, Brit. Love that gal with the British accent. Listened to I'm Gonna Live Til I Die. Old "blue eyes" Sinatra did that one as did many folks.

Here's a song by a birthday girl, y'all. Never heard her, but she obviously has a "free" style. That's my way of introducing the name of her very popular song.

Deniece Williams

@edgarblythe,
Great duet, edgar. Thanks for playing that one.

Well, folks, it's Tony Curtis' birthday, and I had no idea that he was a fantastic artist as well as an actor.

First a tribute to the man, and then an example of his art work.

Love the song they play in the background.

I am ready to go to bed but before that here is something German for you all: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCXG9YtAXNc

Letty, the movie is a romantic comedy. The title Keinohrhasen means something like rabbits without ears but it's an artificial word so it would be noearrabbits Very Happy Very funny movie. Made me feel good!

@urs53,
Good night, dear Urs. That song sounds as though it's about demons. Not a good one to sleep by. Thanks, because I listened twice and thought about Schumann. So happy that the "rabbit without ears" made you feel happy.

Want to hear something fabulous, folks?

The Happy Farmer, her second piece, I played when I was seven years old.

And now, y'all, one of my favorites by the man who was too talented for the world that surrounded him.

Goodnight, Izzie. Don't hang around no "savage gardens"

Thanks, edgar, for your acknowledgements. The last one is a fabulous classical.

Time for me to say goodnight, and since today is Josephine Baker's birthday, I have spent quite a bit of time researching that amazing woman. Lyn Whitfield did the story of her life, so this will give us a bit of insight. (pssst, edgar, guess what she is singing.?)

I listened to Horowitz two times.

Curiously, my favorite Tony Curtis movie is Taras Bulba, not to mention a perfect casting for the lead!:

Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

Mr. Wizard, I didn't see Taras Bulba, but I love those cossacks, buddy.

edgar, your Turkish street organ reminded me of Perry Como's "Hot Diggidy; Dog Diggidy" Loved it.

Hey, mooseman. How can a mere cat get a moose's tongue.

Strange, y'all. It's amazing how a cello and piano in a minor key is often comforting. Wonderful Brahms cello and piano nocturne, buddy. Thanks, Kansas.

Two songs this early morning. First, another cossack

What a great baritone Nelson Eddy was, and I just found out that the man died here in Florida.

And, folks, today is Michelle's Phillips birthday, so here's a tribute to her.
