Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

Yep, edgar, everything sounds good on our little cyber radio. Love "Smoke Gets in Your eyes", Rock. We'll dedicate that to Roberta.

edgar, Leonard Cohen always fascinates me. What an interesting song.

How about another "Lover" song, and this one is by Lady Day.

Billie Holiday was always good. I think that recording is still one of her best. And Dobie Gray's song is to me one of the definitive songs of its genre.

Waterfall is interesting, musically as well as visually.
And April and Nino's song will live forever in my mind as part of the love story of edgar and a girl he once knew in San Pedro, during his Navy days.

Love, Gimme the Beat, boys, Barry the Brit. Although you have climbed the stairs cockney style, your songs linger on just as "....a waterfall.." <sigh>

I prefer the soft ballad version of Deep Purple, however. The one with the lovely introductory verse.

The sun is sinking low behind the hills,
I loved you long ago, I love you still
When suddenly, there comes to me at twilight
A song of love's old thrill.

edgar, Speedy Gonzales was cute. Thanks, Texas

How about the girl that edgar left behind. Razz

Well, panz. We could always do Speedy Alka Seltzer. Would that be politically correct?

Damn, I miss swimming.

dys, liked Peggy Lee and the Don Shirley trio's Water Boy, but didn't much care for the video.

Here are the lyrics ala Paul Robeson. Sounds a bit like John Henry, no?

Waterboy, where are you hiding
If you don't come right here
Gonna tell you pa on you

There ain't no hammer
That's on a this mountain
That ring like mine boy
That ring like mine

I'm gonna bust this rock boy
From here to the Macon
All the way to the jail boy
All the way to the jail

You Jack o diamond
Jack o diamond
Know you of old boy
I know you're of old
You rob-a my pocket
Rob my pocket
Silver and gold boy
Of silver and gold
There ain't no sweat boy
That's on a this mountain
That run like mine boy
That run like mine

Today is Jo O'Meara's birthday, so how about one by S Club 7, folks.

Until dys gets his tongue back from Dante, we can's miss The Duke's birthday.

Here's a great tribute to him, y'all.

and I am certain that edgar will want to rave about "The Girl He Left Behind." Leroy Anderson is wonderful.
