Those are good songs, izzie. I particularly like the unplugged one.

Tony Bennett was one of my top favorite singers in the late 1960s, letty. I still like him on his better recordings. He was good on your video.

Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, Loved "Once Upon a Time" by Tony, and Izzies "Changes" by David Bowie was great.

Hey, Brit. I recall "One Fine Day" by the Chiffons, but I had no idea that Carole King did "Locomotion"; Great one! Sorta recall Little Eva, and although I don't know Al Green, I loved his "How Do You Mend a Broken Heart"

Speaking of stars, I only see a full setting moon outside my window. I never get tired of looking at that unusual luna.

Well, we'll let David Bowie provide the stars for us, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
Dear edgar, no thanks are required but I do appreciate your having done so. I have been where you have been

Here's one for you and your brother from Marty. It gives me both a smile and a tear, Texas.

@edgarblythe,
ah, edgar, I remember It's Been a Hard Day's Night. Thanks, Texas. Every time I see your brother's name, I think of "...play it, Sam.."

Was I ever surprised to see that you both liked The Carrot Seed. I had a record of it that I bought for my kids. A child's simple faith. "...the carrot; it came up.."

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two songs.

First from Enya

And now another surprise, y'all.

Tomorrow will be a better day.

From Letty with love

The Carrot Seed was criticised for potentially corrupting minors, letty. The boy went against his father's guiding words and in fact knew more than the parent. Very subversive literature. It still makes my angry to remember, all these years later.

@edgarblythe,
Good morning WA2K radio land and edgar.

First, here is how I remember the verse to the Carrot Seed.

Fathers know a lot of things,
Little boys like you don't know,
So don't be disappointed
If your carrot doesn't grow.

It simply seems to me that he didn't want the kid to get his hopes up. Funny, I was thinking of "the faith of a mustard seed"

Loved your Don Gibson song. Strange, I was humming that tune in my head a couple of days ago.

Today is Good Friday and I remember when I was small being confused about why they called it good.

Heard from our Urs, and all is well in South Germany.

Here's the song to which you referred earlier, edgar, and it's lovely.

I decided to play the instrumental, but the lyrics are also available if you will notice.
