@edgarblythe,
Wow! I had forgotten about April in Portugal. There are lyrics to that one, edgar.

Here is an interesting duet from the Philippines and they are call The April boys, so let's listen.

Well, time for me to say goodnight, and I think we have covered all the April songs except these two. One is the Count's version of April in Paris, and the other a lovely hymn. (most certainly am not doing "April is the Cruelest Month)

First, the Count.

Now the hymn.

Solace for an evening alone.

Goodnight to everyone everywhere.

From Letty with love

still daylight here. Cool here's something relaxing by reggae's great Pablo--i happened to see him in concert right about the time this was filmed, but in a different locale--LA, not Japan.

Good morning, WA2K radio land.

Hey, honu. Did I hear this bit in Agustus Pablo great song?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hYV-JSjpyU&feature=related

Love the melodica, and sad to see that he died of myasthenia gravis. My son once told me that may stem from eating the brains of animals. I believe him. Our camping friend, Helen Camerio, died from that same disease, and I recall the ebola virus originated in Restin, Virginia from monkeys.

Hey, Brit. Really enjoyed SKA and I did hear "Johnson Rag" in that one.

Liked Flunk as well, and Feel Good Friday was our ModMan's signal to use his famous onomatopoeia, "woosh". Love it.

Strange the calming effect that "April Evening" had on me last evening. I slept through the night.

Well, Today is Eddie Murphy's birthday and I was surprised to find that he broke the box office with his movies. Loved Beverly Hills Cop, so here is one of the songs from that hilarious movie.

Good morning, radio people. Barry's Pablo Java, Jamaican sounds, Joe Jackson and Flunk were very nice.
Then letty's Good Bad and Ugly's one of the great themes of all time. I am listening to Glen Frey now.

@edgarblythe,
Loved that cowboy song by Chris Ledoux, edgar, and your song reminded me of this funny one by Lovin Spoonful, Texas.

@Rockhead,
Hey, Rocky. That trailer was awesome, buddy. The entire movie made me feel war in all its horror. I read the book Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, but don't recall much of it. The songs played in the background were great, especially The Ride of the Valkyrie. Marlon Brando was an awesome actor. Thanks.

This is somewhat of a surprise, y'all. Today is Wayne Newton's birthday, and I love these three songs. He does a great job, too, so let's listen to the Virginia boy.

I didn't remember the Lovin Spoonful did that song. I love Marlin Brando films, but not The Godfather and Apocolypse.
Well, I am about to get dressed and head out to Dallas. Have a good Friday and Saturday.

@Letty,
you're spot on with the good, the bad, and the ugly. doubt Pablo ate animal brains, though--being a devout rastafarian, he was probably vegan.

@yitwail,
honu, You don't have to eat something directly for it to be tainted. It could have come down the food chain. I am a peanut butter lover, and I haven't stopped having my daily peanut butter and jelly sammy on cinnamon raisin bread just because of the salmonella scare. 'course,I eat the natural kind of peanut butter.

Been searching for The Don Shirley Trio. They filled in for George Shearing at The Embers Club in New York City when we were there. Found this one, and it is fabulour. (ignore the scantily clad women.)
