Good morning, WA2K radio listeners and contributors.

edgar, I missed your bit of info about Natalie Cole. Wow! I hope things work out for her.

Hey, Rocky. Missed acknowledging your Moonchild. Hmmm. The video was sorta scary

Thanks to the Brit for his two tango pieces. Ah, I would love to tango as it reminds me of Anthony Dexter's marvelous movie of Rudolph Valentino. Loved Bobby Paris' Humphrey Bogart tribute, and like edgar I really enjoyed Cold Play's Violet Hill.

Two songs this morning, y'all. First, a brief tango, then a tribute to Leon Russell as it is his birthday.

Good morning. I have Jealousy playing as I get ready to eat breakfast before heading out the door. I really like this piece. (Liked rockhead's music, too).

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I love that song. I guess "the poor people" are not just in Paris any longer.

Hmmm. Today is Hans Christian Anderson's birthday.

Let's hear a tribute to Copenhagen by Danny Daye. (wonder where hebba is hiding?)

@Rockhead,
Hey, Rockhead. I saw The Bridge on the River Kwai and TheLavender Hill Mob. I recall when Sir Alec blew up the bridge and stood erect and tall saluting after he realized what he had done.

Your "Droid" songs were odd, but I guess they are part of the Star Wars gang. Thanks, buddy.

Here's a tribute to the man to remind us of all the great movies that he made.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I love Orange Blossom Special, and Roy Clark is a fantastic musician. There were some funny moments as well. Hmmm, did I hear him throw in a slight riff of Malaguena?

It's Adam Rodriguez's birthday. He starred in the TV series CSI Miami, but I don't recall much about that. Will check it out later, folks.

Here he is with Lionel Richie.

@edgarblythe,
I didn't know him either, edgar, but I enjoy discovering new folks.(or at least the ones that are new to me)

Heard from our puppy, but she's still having major renovation work done. We miss her because she livens up our RNA and brightens up our day.

How about some April songs then.

Guess who, folks.

@dyslexia,
Good one, dys. Well, we could do the prologue to The Canterbury Tales..

Whan that Aprill with his shoures soote
The droghte of March hath perced to the roote,
And bathed every veyne in swich licour
Of which vertu engendred is the flour;
Whan Zephirus eek with his sweete breeth
Inspired hath in every holt and heeth
The tendre croppes, and the yonge sonne
Hath in the Ram his half cours yronne,
And smale foweles maken melodye,
That slepen al the nyght with open ye
(So priketh hem Nature in hir corages)

Instead, let's listen to a little jazz about remembering April.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cntAmdXycQ

and here are the lyrics, y'all.

This lovely day will lengthen into evening,
We'll sigh good-bye to all we've ever had,
Alone where we have walked together,
I'll remember April and be glad....

I'll be content, you loved me once in April,
Your lips were warm, and love an' spring were new,
But I'm not afraid of autumn, and her sorrow,
For I'll remember,
April and you!

The fire will dwindle into glowing ashes,
For flames and love live such a little while
I won't forget, but I won't be lonely,
I'll remember April, and I'll smile . . .

Jolson should have lived in the 21st Century. I would love to see what he might have done with his talent.
Simon and Garfunkle - I love almost all of their music.

Chaucer ought to use spellcheck, letty. Still, he does a more than passable verse.

Calvin Keys has a nice laid back style that reminds me of another artist - just can't remember who.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, edgar. Bambi is still one of my favorites. Loved that little shower song. Very funny about Chaucer, Texas. Can you imagine that Shakespeare began the modern age of English?

Bet you know this one.
