@edgarblythe,
edgar, that was an intriguing song by Country Joe. "....the echo of my lonliness..." was especially good. Thanks for the introduction to Joe, Texas.

Well, folks, today is John Travolta's birthday, and although I saw Pulp Fiction, I don't recall one think about it. John has had a terrible experience lately, perhaps a happy dance with Uma will give us better memories.

@edgarblythe,
Hey, edgar. Just got back from a road trip. I can't believe that I don't remember one single thing(sorry about the "think" mistake) about Pulp Fiction. I must have fallen asleep while watching it. I didn't know about Andy Gibb. He had miocarditis. My musician friend died of the same thing. It's inflamation of the heart muscle itself. He sounds really good in that duet with Nell Carter, and the song was great. Didn't like that falsetto of his in the other songs with the group, The Bee Gees, but I still like Stayin' Alive.

Here's a new voice for our wee cyber radio, folks. Her name is Vivian Lai and she was born in Hong Kong. Don't know how to pronounce her last name, but it is a reminder of another lady named Scarlett.

Today is her birthday, so let's listen.

It is time for the traditional carnival in our area. Tomorrow is the first one of the important days and it will all end next Wednesday - Ash Wednesday.

I am taking tomorrow off from work and we want to spend the day at a thermal spa or whatever you call it. We want to go either to Konstanz or Überlingen - both towns are located at Lake of Constance. Now I just found this little film showing last year's parade on 'Fatty Thursday' in Konstanz. So something traditional for you...

Oops, Urs. I got it all mixed up. I thought today was the day that you and bigdice would be in that thermal spa. I think that is a natural one, but I'm not certain.

You may be abed by now, but we all loved the march and the strange get ups that the celebrants and celebrators wear. Can't believe that Ash time is upon you, gal. Thanks, honey.

dj, first let me say that I like the new you. I noticed that you have grown a new mustachio, Canada. Glad there was no big event as a result of those two nuclear subs colliding. Whew!

Great tribute to Thomas Dolby's uncle, and he looks quite a bit like my brother who died in WWII.

A another reminder of the Mardi Gras here, folks.

Time to say goodnight, and I am reminded once again of Matt Monroe and what a wonderful voice he has.

The scenery is lovely as well, and I am thinking about William Shakespeare tonight. I suppose if I had to pick a play of his, it just might possibly be Romeo and Juliet. The world wasn't a happy place for them, but the lyrics say differently.

Good morning, WA2K radio.

edgar, loved your goodnight song. Ah, John Wayne. Fond memories of the man who always referred to many as "pilgrim". Thanks, Texas.

Well, there's our Brit back and informing us of what's happenin' in merry old England. Well, Duffy is great to watch, but frankly, pilgrim, I don't care for her voice. Love all your bird songs, incidentally. In the days of the jazz boys, the members of the band did not like to play what the patrons wanted to hear. I recall our drummer getting on the mike and yelling, "We're not a bird band". hee hee.

Well, well. Izzie likes the X files, so we'll dedicate that one to her. We'll also dedicate "Fly Like an Eagle" to our Dutchy.

Missed Medium the other night. Fell asleep. Lightwizard doesn't like that show, however. Another goodun is Cold Case. Missed it as well.

Today is Smokey Robinson's birthday. Let's give a listen to the man who created miracles.

Good morning, y'all. Smokey Robinson is among my wife's favorite artists. It has been a while since I've listened to Cat Stevens. Got him to come to our little station today. Here he is:

@Izzie,
Dear Izzie, things will be better soon. Love that Cat song, gal. Here is one by him before he quit singing, and it is the harbinger of a new season.

@Izzie,
(turns dial back to AM radio)

Izzie, loved both of the Seal songs. Do you suppose it could be heaven if it's a man's world?

Just called the hospital and although he couldn't talk, I told the floor nurse to tell him that the rose bush that he sent to me has come back to life. I had thrown it out for dead and couldn't believe seeing tiny green petals pushing through the thorns. Amazing that it survived the cold and the drought.

Well, it rained today and inspired by YOUR rainbow huggies, I found this one, hun.

My daughter seems chipper and sent me a funny joke.
