@edgarblythe,
Welcome back, edgar, and thanks for the Buddy Holly song.(still think of Don McLean when I hear Buddy)

Today is Joshua Redman's birthday, and although this jazz song is called Blues on Sunday, he doesn't sound too blue on that saxophone.

Watching the Superbowl. One of the first commercials features Bob Dylan and this song.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, that was beautiful. I don't think I've heard Dylan sound better, and the art in the background was perfect.

Hey, Brit. Welcome to our cyber radio station. Hmmm. Sometimes we encourage misbehaviours. (did I spell that right?) Hope you'll join us more frequently.

Winslow Homer's The Gulf Stream. He works in every medium.

Time for me to say goodnight, and here is the perfect song, y'all. Guess which one is having a birthday.

We've done jesters and clones, so how about dreaming and clowns.

Goodnight, dear folks

From Letty with love

Blue Texas Morning

Blue Texas Morning on a Lone Star Road
A Blue Texas Morning that tells me how far I`ve drove
All the way down from Denver is a lonesome ride
Til I see bluebonnets blooming on every side

Blue Texas Morning, blue as my sweetheart`s eyes
Blue as my heartbreak, blue as the Texas skies
Blue as Texas hillsides, blue as those Texas fields
Its a Blue Texas Morning that my sight reveals

Got a Blue Texas Angel and she`s pining for me
She`s blue as the willow and I am going to see
My true Texas lady to let my heart reveal
Then she`s gonna know how this lonesome cowboy really feels

There`s dewdrops on the mountains and dewdrops in my eyes
I`m gonna smile like the sunshine over her surprise
Cause when I top the next hill I`m gonna see her face
Gonna lose all my sadness in that angel`s embrace

Blue Texas morning, blue as my sweetheart`s eyes
Blue as my heartbreak, blue as the Texas skies
Blue as the hillsides, blue as Texas fields
Its a Blue Texas Morning that my sight reveals

@edgarblythe,
Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, did you write "Blue Texas Morning"? If so, it was great!

Well, today is groundhog day, y'all. (porke de terre) This is my parents' wedding anniversary! Don't know if they have ground squirrels here or not, but the sky is overcast, so no shadow.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, happy birthday to your daughter, edgar. Just found out that there are no groundhogs in Florida. Alas, many of my pet creatures are gone; however, I just saw the moorhens walking about on my lawn. That's unusual.

Today is Stan Getz's birthday, so let's hear one by the jazz man, folks.

@Raggedyaggie,
Well, thank goodness our puppy is all right. Thanks, PA, for the trio of famous folks and the info on other celebs.

Fascinated with this lady, y'all, because my new house cleaning lady is from Colombia. What a dear she is.

Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll (born: February 2, 1977) known simply as Shakira is a Colombian singer-songwriter, musician, record producer, dancer and philanthropist who has been a major figure in the pop music scene of Latin America since the mid-1990s. She is a native Spanish speaker and also speaks fluent English, Portuguese, Italian and some Arabic. In 2001, she broke through onto the English-speaking world with the release of Laundry Service, which sold over fifteen million copies worldwide. Shakira is the highest-selling Colombian artist of all time, having sold more than 60 million albums worldwide, according to BM' She has also won numerous awards worldwide, including two Grammy Awards, eight Latin Grammy Awards among eighteen nominations, sixteen Billboard Music Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, a People's Choice Award and receiving a Golden Globe nomination. She is also the only artist from South America to reach the number-one spot on the Billboard Hot 100, the Australian ARIA chart, and the UK Singles Chart.
Shakira was to be awarded with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which would have made her the first Colombian to receive this honor.

Here she is, folks, and since this was done in Holland, we'll dedicate this to our Dutchy.

@edgarblythe,
She certainly is, edgar. I couldn't get the version in English to play properly, but I'm certain things are a bit off kilter because of the strange weather.

Well, y'all, The Smothers Brothers were not only funny, but great musicians.

@Izzie,
Hey, Izzie. I love it when you Brits rejoice in the snow. I used to do so a long time ago.

However, hun, The Beatles are singing about the big thaw. Love it as well.
