That would be sublime1, Miss Letty. He's one of our local Chicagoans and we keep in touch occasionally.

Here's John's tribute to Joe Cocker.

edgar, I love that song. It comes from The French Quarter of New Orleans, right? I think Hank Williams did that one as well. Thanks, Texas.

JPB, That was one great song by the late, great John. Did I hear the piano man play a tiny bit of Fur Elise? Thanks, gal.

Good to have our animals back on WA2K, so here is one to them and by them.

More New Orleans music, y'all.

Yeah, that keyboard guy was pretty good. And, supposedly the drummer was Chevy Chase.

Paul Jacobs, Keyboard
Christopher Guest, Bass
Chevy Chase, Drums
Rhonda Coulett, Backup Vocal

Here's another one from that tour.

Well, my goodness, mention Fur Elise and up pops our Urs demonstrating Japanese drums. That was really good, gal. Never heard of taiko drums. You and bigdice do so many different things. Thanks for that experience.

Well, this has been multcultural day on WA2K so let's hear one from The Japanese Beatles. Razz

@JPB,
JPB, I couldn't get your Lemming's Lament to do its thing, but it did make me think of a couple of unique observations. First, the idea that "video killed the Hollywood star", meaning that folks spend more time playing video games than they do watching movies. Found this one, and then another by the Bugles.

Fun day today on our radio.

@JPB,
I spent a good part of my life playing pc games, JPB. I think it was my kindergarten with the computer.

Well, folks, about the only thing that Tom Cruise has inspired in me was classical music.

Wagner

And here's Fur Elise done by Zak Kim. Love this combination, y'all.

Its not set to music (that I know of), but if one of you can, I would greatly appreciate it.

http://www.godisgroovy.com/USA/firefightersprayer.shtml

A Fireman's Prayer

When I am called to duty, God, whenever flames may rage;
Give me strength to save some life, whatever be its age.

Help me embrace a little child before it is too late
Or save an older person from the horror of that fate.

Enable me to be alert and hear the weakest shout,
And quickly and efficiently to put the fire out.

I want to fill my calling and to give the best in me.
To guard my every neighbor and protect his property.

And if, according to my fate, I am to lose my life;
Please bless with your protecting hand, my children and my wife.

@mysteryman,
mysteryman, you just made me cry. My godson died while fighting a fire. That is so beautiful, and here is the music to it, my friend.

@mysteryman,
Ok now, mysteryman. Just took a few minutes to get it together.

How about some more animals, y'all. This time, one of my favorites by Nat Cole when he did The King Cole Trio.

Hope this works, 'cause I've been having a wee bit of trouble with our studio sound.

@JPB,
Goodnight, JPB, and thank you for the smile song by Nat.

Guess it's time for me to retire as well, y'all.

Finally I found this one replete with lyrics. I really smile when I remember how my mom loved him.
