Today is J.J. Johnson's birthday, and he did a great jazz version of "Just Friends", found it, but it was a mite too long so I chose Bobby Darin's version.

Come on folks. Don't make a good thread go bad. I really hated the slogan, "Don't Make a good boy go bad". As if I left my keys in the car an angel would become a devil. Rolling Eyes

@edgarblythe,
My word, edgar. Had no idea that Bobby did Bill. Great song, Texas.

Your "begets" reminds me of the time that I decided I was going to read the Bible from beginning to end. I hit all those "begets" and decided against it.

Hey, folks, I did find this one by J.J. and Kai. Great jazz, too.

@edgarblythe,
Harry was soooo talented, edgar. Love that one you played.

Here's my favorite, however.

Guess Whose Coming to Dinner was on the other night. Sorta reminded me of Crash, somehow.

Hope our Raggedy has her pc on the mend.

Hank and Sarah, both very good. Hank Snow, I may have mentioned, was my Mom's favorite singer back when I was pretty small. Here is another Hank

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I have no idea when I first heard Hank Snow. Must have been from my country cousins. Been searching for some clue, and the only thing that I can figure is that Home and Jethro did a parody on Movin On. Those guys were fabulous and truly great musicians.

Thanks for that one by Hank, Texas. Didn't Connie Francis do it as well?

Anyone here ever Limbo? and if Urs is listening, this one is squeaky clean.

Not sure how many artists did it, but Elvis had a moderate hit with it.

Ah, I'm thinking about Everybody's Somebody's Fool, I guess. speaking of fools,

Remember playing this one, Texas? Still love it, however.

(I can still recall doing the limbo. I think I got down to the lowest pole, too.)

Back in a few to acknowledge Sheb.

dj, Welcome back. We have missed you here, honey. Annoy? I don't think so, Canada.

First, a comment on sheb and his funny fifteen beers. Loved it, Texas and thanks.

dj, I didn't quite get the first song by The Stranglers, but if you liked it, we like it.

My favorite by them was Walk on By. Great, and I mean GREAT

Of course, Johnny and Gordon were fabulous. I have always liked Gordon Lightfoot, buddy.

Also loved the turnaround on That's what I Get For Lovin' Me.

Ribbon of Darkness and Softly were perfect, but I think The Canadian Railroad touched my heart, 'cause my daddy was a railroad man.

Incidentally, dj. I read the Boys from Brazil by Levin. The ending was quite a surprise.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I'll dedicate this one to my daughter. Bud always called her "mangel"

Goodnight, everyone

From Letty with love

New song by Britney Spears. Radio stations are asked to not play it, citing content not suitable for the very young.
