Bill Gates hijacked my response. Sorry about the name confusion, puppy. I love Jean. That was written by Rod McKuen(sp)Don't worry about the montage, cause we can picture the celebs using our imagination.

edgar, Hank Snow's "Movin' On" is one of my favorites. Thanks, Texas.

BOSTON " Salsa superstar and actor Ruben Blades has agreed to give his personal papers as well as rare recordings of rehearsals and concerts to Harvard University.
The university's Eda Kuhn Loeb Music Library will receive a complete collection of all the 60-year-old musician's LPs, CDs and liner notes. The archive will eventually grow to include material devoted to his political career, with posters from his failed run for the Panamanian presidency in 1994.
Harvard librarian Virginia Danielson said the first components of the collection will be available in mid- to late-2009.
The seven-time Grammy winner holds a masters degree in international law from Harvard. He recently announced he was leaving his post as Panama's tourism minister to return to recording music.

My goodnight song will be from a politician turned musician.

Good morning, WA2K radio. Didn't all of you love that Salsa?

Can you believe that I stayed up late researching stuff? I'm certain that you can.

Today is Jack Jones' birthday, and I had no idea that the man did jazz. Here's a great one by him and Cleo, y'all.

@Raggedyaggie,
Hey, puppy. Know almost all of your famous folks. Thanks for the sextet of faces that most of us know.

Well, Raggedy, I stayed up for a couple of reasons. Waiting for news of my son, and also looking at the movies done about Chopin.

foxfyre said that the following movie was really boring, so I searched it out.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tm8X84Yc5i8

My favorite is the one done by Cornel Wilde. Back later with that one.

Here's another. Hope it works, y'all.

I've always thought highly of Cornel Wilde, letty, although I never thought of him in a musical setting.

And, Sterling Holloway, known for his odd voice and character parts, was a pretty good singer.

@edgarblythe,
I did NOT know that William Bendix did The Babe, edgar, and that song by Sterling was one of my mom's favorites.

I did see the movie of The Babe done by John Goodman, however.(I think he was the cyclopes in O Brother Where Art Thou.)

If TCM ever shows The Naked Prey again, try and watch it. That is one of Cornel Wilde's best performances.

Here's a tribute to Faye Dunaway, y'all. Bonnie and Clyde was the first movie in which I saw Gene Hackman. (a woman from Virginia was in that as well--Evans Evans)

Ricardo Montalban dies at age 88By Reuters

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actor Ricardo Montalban, best known as the mysterious Mr. Roarke on the popular television series "Fantasy Island," died on Wednesday at the age of 88, a Los Angeles city official said.

Mexican-born Montalban had a long career in entertainment but found broad fame as the star of ABC's "Fantasy Island" in which he fulfilled the dreams of his guests with the help of his sidekick, Tattoo.

He was also known during the 1970s as a TV spokesman for Chrysler and played the villain in "Star Trek," both on television and in a feature film.

@Letty,
Naked Prey was great. Also like Faye. I once saw a photo of Bonnie Parker, in which she looked very much like my mother at the same age.

Letty, I send my very best wishes and thoughts for you and your son.

I love all of Chopin's music and A Song to Remember is remembered by me.

Here's a trailer from Hilary and Jackie, which starred today's birthday girl, Emily Watson. Jackie is the cellist, Jacqueline Dupre. I love the Elgar Cello Concerto that was performed in the movie by The Philadelphia Orchestra and Jacqueline du Pré (cello).

Thanks to all of you for the music that you play here on our wee cyber radio station.

edgar, I saw about Ricardo Montalban, and am saddened.

Raggedy, I love that Elgar piece. Once dedicated The Four Seasons to JPB. Where are those animals? Especially love the cello, puppy.

Izzie, YouTube wouldn't allow us upstart Revolutionaries to hear your song, I'm afraid. Thanks anyway, dear lady.

Just talked to the hospital, and the duty nurse said that he was some better. They don't give much info without a hepa code. Sheeeze. They all know that I am his mom.

Here's a tribute to Ricardo, all.

Izzie, your Shine reminded of two things. First Catman Strothers saying, "That boy's got the Shine". Second, a neat gospel song called, "This little Light of Mine"

Think I'll say goodnight with both of them, folks.

First, a great jazz artist

Then from Dublin

Goodnight to all,
