Thanks to everyone for the great dedications and music. Will return later so keep that candle lit for me, y'all. I keep losing my messages, but let's hope this one works.

We used to sing a lot of Peter, Paul, and Mary back in the day. This was one of our favorites.

Good morning. I hope for the best for letty and hers this final day of 2008. I brought a memory of Odetta with me. It is the first song I ever heard her sing. I have it on vinyl on, I think, Belafonte Returns to Carnegie Hall.

@edgarblythe,
I have a recording of Paul Robeson's Water Boy , but had never heard Odetta's version. Thanks for the lovely memory, Edgar.

Here's one of my fondest memories of John Denver:

Hey, y'all. Thanks for all the great contributions to our radio station. Finally, I can access YouTube. Athough, my Dave is doing some better, he is still far from well, but his mind is still great. He reminded me that it is C-Pap, not Pac.

Last night in Virginia and a wee bit at noon, it was a "three dog night". It is snowing just a little, so here's one by guess who?

Thanks to all for a wonderful day of music. edgar, had no idea Hoyt Axton wrote that song, and I loved the Bobby Darin tribute to New Year's Eve. Dj, did you hear me groan at that funny of yours?

Raggedy, loved that John Denver song, PA as well as your wonderful montage of famous folks. Hi to Alex and bull winkle and the flying squirrel.

Interesting thing happened to me on my way to our little cyber station. The police were doing a road check and I was delighted to hear the head honcho call me young lady and we had a great conversation. Showed him my Florida driver's license and all was in order.

Here's a tribute to Val Kilmer, and in a way it's in the spirit of things, 'cause he played Doc HOLIDAY. <smile>

Back later with my goodnight song, y'all
